‘Neil Warnock’s Tearful Goodbye, I Asked him to stay

Mon Jul 22, 2019 3:15 pm

Neil Warnock's tearful goodbye to Bruno

“Tears were shed between Bruno and I.”

“It was disappointing because I did not want Bruno to go. We had a great time for three years, but he was offered a three-year contract and a lot more money.”

“It is also true he has not had family around him during the time in Cardiff.

“He has been fantastic.”

“ I asked him every day on our pre-season tour if he would stay at Cardiff and the club offered him a new two-year contract, but the move to Dijon was right for him and we got decent money in.”

“We need two or three players in now. Mehmet Dalman and Ken Choo are working hard to bring them in, particularly a striker and midfield player.”

2-3 players? I was thinking 3 or 4 tbh and who knows maybe Warnock is just understating it. I still reckon we need 1 Centre Midfielder, a back up winger, and 2 strikers (1 being a top striker, the other a solid back up)

We need quality not quantity two good players one striker and one midfielder would be fine.

Bruno has not had family around him during his time here - Bruno you're an absolute gentleman, that must be so hard to deal with, you're a City legend, all the best on your new adventure with a decent French outfit in Dijon :bluescarf:

Definitely one of my favourite players. I honestly don't think we could have asked any more of him. I said this before. He always gave his best. Never complained about anything and at the end of it all he didn't wind down his contract to go on a free. Shame more aren't like him
