Gareth Bale's agent labels Real Madrid boss 'a disgrace' as row erupts over critical comments about Wales star

Monday 22nd July 2019

A full-blown row has erupted between Gareth Bale and Real Madrid after his agent Jonathan Barnett labelled Bernabeu boss Zinedine Zidane 'a disgrace'.

Bale's representative hit out following Zidane's attempt to push the Wales star through the exit door with immediate effect.

Having left Bale out of the 3-1 pre-season loss to Bayern Munich in Houston, Zidane said the player had to leave and the sooner the better.

Forcing Bale to watch the game up in the stands shocked the Spanish media and was seen as a power play by Zidane. It came after the Welshman had tweeted photos of himself scoring goals and looking sharp in training,

Th Real manager gave 22 other players a run out, 11 in the first half and a completely different 11 in the second period - but Bale remained ostracised.

"Bale did not play because he is very close to leaving. We hope he leaves soon, it would be best for everyone. If it's tomorrow then the better. Better for him too," said Zidane in no-holds barred comments after the game.

"I am the coach and I have spoken to the club. The decision is the coach's."

The comments provoked an angry response from Barnett, who the Sun report as branding Zidane a 'disgrace'.

They quote Barnett as saying: "He shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid.

"If and when Gareth goes it will be because it is in the best interest of Gareth and nothing to do with Zidane pushing."

Asked about whether Bale is close to leaving Madrid, he said: "We are working on it."

Manchester United and Tottenham want to buy Bale, although the asking price and his wages could prove a stumbling block.

Bale has also been heavily linked with a move to an unnamed Chinese Super League club, where money would be no object although the quality of football would be open to question.

A move to Bayern Munich, possibly on loan for the season, could prove the compromise package.

There are mounting suggestions Bale's time in Spain could come to an end within the next 24-48 hours.

And Zidane says Bale isn't good enough? The sooner Bale leaves the better in my opinion. He needs to be playing games as his performances for Wales are being badly affected.

Trying to bully Bale out, I would 100% stay and run my contract down, Bale is in the driving seat they need him out to free up wages and for the fee, if it was me no chance, I would laugh in his face and take the wages

To much of a talent to be treated like that bale can hold his head high he has done nothing wrong.Hes been a brilliant player for Madrid but if I were him I'd move on and prove em wrong at a new club .
Hope zidane fails at Madrid which I think he will .
Get out of there Gareth stop messing about

I've been a big fan of Madrid since a kid, my Dads family all hail from there, my fav player of all time is the great Raul however I am absolutely disgusted at the way they have treated players over the years, Bale being the latest, Zidane thinks he's this god like man dictating, he was a great footballer but as a manager I'm sorry to say he's appalling, Real are laughing stocks in Europe, and they have no hope of winning La Liga or Champs league IMO

Gareth stay put, don't be bullied by the scumbag Zidane

WHERE NEXT FOR BALE?

Well, Marca's front page this morning suggests unsettled Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale is "heading to China".

And the Mirror are reporting the Welshman has been offered a £1m-per-week deal to go to Chinese Super League club Beijing Guoan.

Real Madrid are going backwards , they will probably sack ZZ soon enough .
If they payed off Bale's contract £75m he would probably take £50m cash . Sell him for £25m . Then everyone's happy.

But no they want £80m for him and somebody else pay him £25m per year.

Stay there Gareth and let ZZ suffer ;)

Ffs!! That's pickled my old brain a mill a week :? would be dropping down a few pegs in standard of football, and travel from China for future welsh games. :sad7: the way Zidane has behaved,to a person who's record at real is superior to his own is disgraceful to say the least  if I were him I'd stick it out for this season to piss him off, chances are he could be sacked himself, but a mill a week is mental, how the feck do you motivate yourself earning them figures baffles me,I'd be off after season,to buy my own island :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :old: :bluebird:
