Former Cardiff City star Kenneth Zohore says West Brom will see goals and his best form

WBA AFC

Sunday 21st July 2019

Departed Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore reckons West Brom fans are about to see the best of him.

“As a player, it’s important to have a manager that believes in you and makes you feel good."

The Bluebirds front-man showed moments of brilliance in a Cardiff shirt, but left fans thirsting for more during a stop-start three year period with the club.

“I’m hungry to do well. Nobody has seen my best yet but I know that it will be coming soon," Zohore told the West Brom website.

At 25, Zohore reckons he is coming into his peak years as a footballer.

KENNETH ZOHORE:

“It’s a new, big challenge for me and I’m really looking forward to playing games and scoring goals here."

“I want to help this club get back to the Premier League."

“I’m hungry to do well. Nobody has seen my best yet but I know that it will be coming soon."

“I spoke to Slaven and he told me about the way he wants to play football and how he sees me fitting into the system."

“As a player, it’s important to have a manager that believes in you and makes you feel good."

The Bluebirds felt £8m was too big a sum to turn down for a striker who boss Neil Warnock feels he cannot totally rely upon in a planned promotion push.

Zohore also split opinion amongst Cardiff fans, many bemoaning the decision to sell, whilst others felt it was the right time to cash in.

Well safe to say NW did not have faith in Ken thats for sure... but neither did the tactics suite him and as strikers feed off confidence no wonder he didn't perform....Hope fans except this if he does come alive with WBA :old:

Warnocks tactics didn't suit Zahore but at £8m he has to talk the talk

Time will tell but I rated him .

Still think we need a midfield and a striker in

Exactly how anyone can stick up for him after his latest statement I don't know

“I spoke to Slaven and he told me about the way he wants to play football and how he sees me fitting into the system."

“As a player, it’s important to have a manager that believes in you and makes you feel good."

Ken has been off the boil for some time.
Arguably, zohore got us relegated.
Warnock wanted him to do well. But he didn't produce and we started the season without any decent striker.

A lone striker role is a tough ask and probably best for Ken to try something different to NW style.

He's no gut busting terror player
But he aint shit either....

What the actual hell are you doing? There is nothing here that is a dig at Warnock. He's purely talking about West Brom and the manager there specifically? Him saying it's important to have a manager that believed in you is CLEARLY Zohore trying to show the fans that him and the manager are on the same page etc. What on earth does this have to do with Neil Warnock? What an absolutely absurd title on this thread.

Complete bollocks.

Doesn’t mean it’s a dig at NW at all. He’s stating a fact about his new manager.

Anyone remember Kenny Miller ? , he was asked to play the loan striker role - something he wasnt used to.
He got stuck in and ran his legs off every game for us regardless of how successful he was.

Compare that to Ken - I'd have Millers attitude to Ken's any day.

People like to find a reason to slate Ken and this proves it. He never said anything like “it’s nice to have a manager who believes in me for once” or anything along them lines.... he stated a fact which doesn’t relate to Warnock in any way

“As a player, it’s important to have a manager that believes in you and makes you feel good." Ken Zohore

From what we have all seen , and heard comments from Warnock previously re about Ken, it is very clear Warnock couldnt motivate Ken to get his @rse into gear. Ken now believes that Slaven is the man to motivate him - where Warnock couldnt.

If you have problems - it doesnt matter where you go - those problems will follow you. 8m transfer away - is good business for us, and probably just what Ken needs, I wish him well and will follow his progress with interest

I think he is just stating what most of us has, we don't play to his strengths and he thinks WBA will.

We got a sensitive bunch of supports sometimes

The Dane netted a goal every four matches for Cardiff, but is confident he will improve that ratio under Slaven Bilic’s watch.

He wasn’t a loan striker he signed for us permanently.

Cost a bomb too. Was 950k I think and 20 odd a week then got barely anything for him.

I think he meant lone striker. I don't think Zohore's comments were anything more than showing support for his new manager and club. Doubt if he was thinking about Cardiff or Warnock when he made the comments. Almost standard procedure by all players to make the right noises when they arrive at a new club.

Yeah I’m pretty sure he meant lone striker.

Importance of correct spelling cannot be understated.

No story here, a player leaving saying he wants to be in the Managers plans, if he plays like he did for us at the end, he won't be in the new Managers plans for long!!!

That's not right though is it :?: he got 10 3 yrs ago,and for last two seasons 3 and 1 goal, hardly a goal every four matches is it,his overall total may equate to a goal every four, but what was his record for last two seasons 4 goals in how many appearances :?: 16 last year 1 goal, how many appearances the season before that :?: with just 3 goals to his name, for whatever reason, and Warnock has alluded to on a few occasions,it was his attitude, it's easy to manipulate scoring stats, how many has bogle scored? Over how many games, etc etc.Ken was not producing the goods, and that's why he was sold, that's what happens when strikers don't actually score.as fans we are all entitled to differ on opinions, and some (myself included) are not out to bash him, just we weren't that impressed with him, over last two seasons . :old: :bluebird:

Well on them terms, bogle has scored a goal every 2 games, not Inc the friendlies this year (2 goals in 2 games)see how easy stats are misleading ;) and has scored 59 goals in 84 appearances or so, in his career, how many has ken managed so far? :old: :bluebird:

Ken 101 games 24 goals for city but lots of sub appearances in those stats so if he improves in that WBA will have bargain ... and undoubtedly he will improve for reasons stated by many on here

Why would professional footballers need motivating :!: they get paid money, most can only dream of,motivate indeed  as if being in the top league isn't /wasn't motivation enough, the hard cold truth is bogle has a better scoring ratio than ken at the city, according to one poster on another thread ken scored one goal every 4 games (missing the fact 10 of them goals was 3 seasons ago  ) bogle has an average of 1 in every 2 games at present, not counting the recent friendlies of course.and last year ken had 1 goal in 16 ,the season before that,3 goals in how many appearances :?: it was time, and we got a decent profit from his sale,he now has the burden of producing elswhere as an £8m player, good luck to him,as long as if he scores against us  he doesn't celebrate too wildly  :old: :bluebird:

I don’t dislike him, I just don’t think he would’ve succeeded with us if he had stayed. Except for the short period of time where he shone, everything else about his time here seems to agree - including his loan spell prior to signing permanently. This, however; I don’t think it’s a dig at anyone but rather an explanation of how Bilic was one of the factors central to his decision to move. I wish him all the very best (except for when he plays us ) but on a side note, I really hope our fans don’t boo and jeer him whenever he plays us :bluebird:
