OFFICIAL " CARDIFF CITY SIGN DEFENDER "

We are delighted to confirm that Aden Flint has signed for the Bluebirds, subject to international clearance.

The former-Middlesbrough defender joins for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-year contract that will run until the summer of 2022.

Flint, a towering centre-back, made 46 competitive appearances at Boro last season.

After signing his contract at Cardiff City Stadium Aden told cardiffcityfc.co.uk: "I'm excited to be here and thankful for the opportunity. It came about really quick.

"Everyone wants to play in the Premier League, and that's why I've joined. Hopefully we can get the right results, get promoted again, and have another opportunity to do that.

"I'm looking forward to getting going. I can't wait for the first match."

Aden will link up with the squad next week following their return from North America, ahead of our home pre-season game against OGC Nice.

Cardiff have paid £6mill for Flint.

True but looking at the Boro forum they're pissed that they've lost a few Million in the space of 12 months and from what I gathered we've paid 4m + 2m in add ons which doesn't look so bad really.

The usual 2 or 3 defenders marking Morrison , then that leaves Flint unmarked to pop up with a goal.
Looking forward to Morrison having a bit more freedom. A lot of teams are going to dread marking them both.

Bennet and Peltier will have to keep a sharp eye on the nippy strikers
