Players I would like us to be looking at are Maupay, Gayle, Samatta and Abel Hernandez.

I think Gayle and Hernandez are probably out of our price range, maybe Maupay too. I wouldn't be surprised if we were looking abroad because prices in English football are highly inflated.

I agree I’d like a good forward but people have short memories we got promoted with Paterson up front

We got promoted malky time with top scorer of 8 or 9 goals who again wasn’t a striker

As I’ve said I’m more concerned about having 3 players who can play between Dm/Cm and two of those most people do not rate that highly championship you need a minimum of 5 players that can play in those two positions to cover injuries and suspension just about personally I feel 5 and a fringe or younger player is needed to be absolutely sure

Paterson never played upfront for us in the championship as far as I'm aware, often just as number 10 off a striker.

We need a striker and a midfielder as a priority not getting either would be a disaster. We won't be going up without them 2 potions being sorted and we still probably need more.

The same players who replaced him last season would be my guess. I'd have put anyone willing to head the ball up top before Zahore.
On his day he was great but lets face it...he was not on his day very often.
May have been injuries and may have been lack of confidence but no one can dispute the fact that his performances were pretty poor in general.

As far as I can remember the service was awful and everyone struggled upfront. Niasse probably fitted and got the team playing as well as they could and he never looked like scoring and won't be here.

I wouldnt mind that and putting bodies in the midfield as we struggle every game with the battle in the middle of the park.
I'm still hoping for 3 at the back but cant see that happening.
I think Gunnar will be a huge loss for us. His mopping up in front of the back 4 was so crucial.
I know he missed quite a few games through injury last season but when he did play he was excellent there.

However he never featured under warnock last championship campaign don’t see that changing guess he could be the number 6 fringe player needed for injuries and suspensions then but we still need two more for Dom/Cm positions

Made 29 appearance for us and most of them in the championship.

Nobody I fear.

We look desperately short in centre midfield.
Although we usually by pass them, didn't we get promoted on 35% possession.
