Theoretically you would be happy?

If Zohore goes for 8m “I’ll snap WBA’s hand off for that”
If Bruno leaves for 3m “Final year of contract, good deal for a 30 year old”

So why not just sell our whole team for 100m and use it to buy a new team. This is our team, our players. Transfers happen, it’s how football works, but the ‘relief’ some fans are showing to sell our best players for peanuts really is disappointing. Can we get better than Bruno for 3m? Even if he is in his last year of his contract I thought we were pushing for promotion this season? Any players that have their contract expire in 1 year shouldn’t just be sold because of that. If we were in the premier league it’s a different story, but this is supposed to be a push for promotion. We are losing our main striker. We are losing our main CB / rotational Right Back. People were happy to sell Etheridge for 10m. Why don’t we just sell everyone the way we’re talking about our players. We’re not in a position where we need to sell players. So why are we acting like we care about great business? Premier league is great business. So why are we happy to sell our best players with no guarantee of signing anything better, for a fraction of what we would get if they stayed and helped us get promotion and leave on a free...

Most clubs need to lighten the financial burden on the club upon relegation, I don't see why you think Cardiff is any different. Upon promotion there were almost certainly a host of contracts that got boosted on clauses and you weren't there long enough to enter relegation clauses into re-negotiated contracts.

There is a reason you are buying players from Rotherham, Newport and Oxford. It's a very fine line between balancing a squad capable of a promotion push and remaining sustainable. Your restructuring wont need to be anywhere near as dramatic as ours however.

Zohore has been sold because Warnock has probably finally lost patience with him, and Bruno it would appear wanted to return to France and there is no point trying to keep an unsettled player

So, I can see the sense in both these transfers and would be surprised if at least 2 more players are not sold (Bogle, Madine, Smithies) ?? You would hope the club would now turn down any offers for anyone else and start spending some “real” money on replacements

I get all that. It’s not the transfers that I’m specifically talking about, the manager can sell who he wants to. But there seems to be a lack of togetherness and there’s a sourness I’m seeing when for example the first thing people say when Bruno is linked with a 3m transfer is “good business” as apposed to “I’ll miss him playing for us” or you know what I mean. The reaction to our key/best or simply first team players potentially being sold is ugly. If I was going to sign for Cardiff having seen fans outlook on the players, where our fans are suddenly bank managers, I would think twice about joining, that’s all.

Perhaps you need to tell Warnock where he is going wrong. I'm sure a manager with a record number of promotions behind him would be grateful for your advice.

We will be working to a tight budget, and we know the days of Tan throwing silly money at the club are gone. Cardiff are no different to any other club, and now that their income will be a lot less, they will have to cut their cloth accordingly. We don't even know the player's personal circumstances, and it could well be that the likes of Manga would prefer to play elsewhere rather than return to the Championship with Cardiff. Tan has continually said that the club has to run within it's means, and fans who think we are a cert to get back to the PL could be in for a nasty surprise. I agree that there is a fine line in being able to mount a serious promotion push while remaining sustainable, and I doubt if Tan will want to see those debts spiralling again after his previous experiences at the club.

We still have to stick to budgets and plan for the future. No point going all out this season then all of a sudden we have no Zohore, no Manga, I replacement and no 11m.

I don't think the club makes enough money to run a club like that.

We also have a potential bill of £15m which may have to be handed to Nantes. That is a fair amount to splash out for a Championship club for no return.

But surely that money should of been set aside anyway.

I think this is purely a case of Manga asking to leave and go back to France and Warnock deciding that nows the right time to cash in on Zohore.

Let’s wait and see what happens before we all start moaning I’m sure Warnock will have a plan.

That's exactly how I see it manga WANTS to go back to France it was reported and tbf zohore has had numerous chances and rarely takes the limelight

Surely if we have to pay it will be covered by insurance

You would have thought so, but then again you would have expected the paperwork concerning the transfer to have been accurate and complete. Cardiff are claiming it was not, and therefore you have to wonder if the relevant paperwork concerning insurance policies were complete. Doubt if any insurance regarding the actual flight would be legit if it is correct that the pilot was not licenced to carry passengers. Who knows how this will end?

If you had insurance then there would be no case to answer, you can't insure what someone else owns which by proxy means if you did have insurance then he would be your player.

The fact you are claiming he isn't your players clearly suggests there is no insurance in place, and probably the reason nehind the whole debacle in the first place.
