The Bluebirds look set to lose their first-choice striker - with Zohore set to undergo a medical with the Baggies.
Without Zohore, it all but confirms that Cardiff will be in the market for a new striker.
Before now, the Yorkshireman had insisted that he would only bring in a new forward if the right deal presented itself.
CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE BACK OF HIM.

Been saying this for a while. Donkey with half a good season. £8m we're laughing. £11.5m total for Joe Mason and Ken Zohore is mad good business

For me another player totally underachieved and wrong attitude.

I think it's a good fee but personally would not sell as I do not believe Warnock will be able to get better.

Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore is closing in on a move to West Bromwich Albion, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph claim the Bluebirds have agreed an £8m fee for the Dane, who is set to travel to the Midlands to undergo a medical.
Zohore, who is currently away on Cardiff's pre-season tour of North America, would be Baggies boss Slaven Bilic's first signing of the summer, ending a three-year stay in the Welsh captial.
The news comes just 24 hours after Cardiff announced the departure of young striker Rhys Healey, with Neil Warnock clearly keen on refreshing his attacking options ahead of the new season.

Maybe for his career he needs a move, to revitalise his love for the game. Because on his day he can be the best striker in the league. I’d prefer not to sell him, especially with the form he showed towards the end of last season. He makes so much more space for the people behind him which always goes unnoticed, because he’s not scoring all the goals. But I understand people only want a striker who scores 20+ goals a season, which we’ve not had in almost a decade. Yet it’s one of our most successful decades.

Something like this could fund a move for Assombalonga.

Bloody Hell £8M snap their hands off
the last 3 seasons an out and out striker who has scored 10, 8, 1, goals. I think there will be an investigation into this deal, is it the same guy who did the Joe Mason deal, one hell of guy !!!!!!
Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:37 am
That’s a steal Snap their hands off Warnock, poor goal record we’ve given him enough time let’s try someone else, I’m bored of waiting for him to come good.

When we lose a player like this if true, I always think would I want him to play against us?
And based on his time here, I would say yes and take the risk of selling him to an opposition team.

I’ll drive him there if this is true

Are you being serious?? Warnock can't get better than Zahore??
Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:44 am
Bite there hands off
Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:45 am
At that price he has to go.
I actually thought he’d do a job for us this season but that is too good an offer to turn down.
I’m guessing there was about £5m in the pot for a striker anyway so even if we just use £5m of the Zohore fee to bump it up to £10m I reckon we could get a 20 goal a season Championship striker for that.
This season could be exciting!!
Wed Jul 17, 2019 10:49 am
How long do you wait for someone to come good ?
Went missing last season and has really only ever had one hot spell.
In his last 12 months of a contract , so good business.

Well the evidence over the last 3 seasons hasn't been good. Danny Ward, Gary Madine, Omar Bogle, Oumar Niasse all strikers brought in by Warnock and none of them are better than him imo. I agree with the club selling Zohore for 8m but throughout Warnock's career as a manager he's never been able to produce/sign a good striker or get them scoring goals in his system (He admits that himself in his autobiography)

Snap their hands off for 8m. Bags of quality, but no bite and he's had long enough to show what has made of but failed.

We already have better than Zohore at the club. He's a lazy donkey with half a good season in his whole career

You're conveniently leaving out the fact he converted a right back to a number 10/Striker who's scored more than Zohore since he joined. And Bobby Reid, Josh Murphy scored more than Ken

Always thought that there was a great player waiting to turn up in Zohore but unfortunately still waiting . 8m thou is a great price but I still think he could still come good but not for us and the way we play

This forum makes me sick sometimes. He’s done so much for this club it’s diabolical how you guys are practically celebrating his departure. The money isn’t unreasonable but put that aside for one second while I express how disgusted I am in your attitudes towards someone who always gives 100% yet constantly gets criticised for every mistake he makes. He is our best striker at the club at the moment. He offers us SO much even when he’s not scoring. He wasn’t playing when Trollope was in charge, and we were in a relegation mess. When Warnock takes over results are a little better, but then when he dropped Lambert & Pilkington and started playing Zohore our results were Ridiculously better. Ken not only creates space and openings for himself and others to play into, he’s a great passer of the ball and in my opinion the wingers play better with him in the team.
Sort your attitudes out for crying out loud.
Final point. He’s not even gone yet, And in fact this is no different to Liverpool wanting Etheridge when Warnock said no bids had been made. This is pure speculation and Zohore is on the pre season tour getting ready for a season as a Bluebird, and you’re all celebrating his departure. It’s pathetic.

I believe there is a decent striker there waiting to come out. Warnock's tactics of lumping the ball forward to a big man doesn't suit Zahore at all. Ken needs a move to further his career, he will be a better striker for WBA.
At least we have Madine to rely on

because 8m wont get us a better striker than Zahore these days.

Totally disagree. How many times has Warnock himself said Ken hasn't been trying and needed a kick up the arse? The guy has had half a good season for us which ended 2 years ago. We've been waiting ever since for him to finally come good. It just isn't happening with us.
Ken wouldn't be going unless Warnock was fine with it, so if he goes and for the reported £8m, it's fantastic business for a player we signed for £360k and has a record of 24 goals in 101 appearances. He does bring something to the table, but £8m for a player who simply opens up space sometimes is a huge fee, for a player who's job is supposed to be
scoring goals.
I think you forget we stuck a right back up top in the promotion season and he banged in 10 goals and got 5 assists in the process while Ken wasn't bothering in training again.

Don't get it. Calum Paterson had a go up front and scored 10, assisted 5. If you're good enough, you'll score goals. No excuses for Ken.

Good luck to him as a person, i just hope we pick an out and out striker not a winger and not some has been.
I don' t think we will if we where in for sala for 15 million but that was prem survival, so lets hope its some gem of a striker from abroad .
