‘ Tony Clemo ‘ Cardiff City

The former Cardiff City chairman/owner Tony Clemo's funeral service was yesterday.

Notable guests were ex-Bluebirds manager Frank Burrows, Gareth Edwards, JJ Williams and Olympic Gold Medalist Lyn Davies.


Cardiff City FC put a terrific show in the get-to-gether after the Memorial service.


I got to know Tony Clemo very well over the years and always enjoyed a good chat with him, he was our Chairman through very difficult years and very low home crowds.

So glad he had a terrific send off, very much maligned when in charge but who else was going to step in at that time.
Certainly kept us going during really hard times.

Yes he kept us going through tough times at the club. Thats what we should remember him for.

Worked for a company with branch in Cardiff and somehow got them to sponsor the City after being visited by a rep from the club,and have to say that Mr Clemo was an absolute gentleman,came and thanked us personally for our sponsorship on the day And came across as someone who really cared about the football club
