THE NUMBERS GAME

Tue Jul 16, 2019 8:03 am

As usual Neil is not giving anything away as far as who is coming in or out, so if we look at the players we have already on the books it gives us a clue as to what will happen come the end of the Summer transfer window.

Firstly players that have left from last season's squad of 25
1. Brian Murphy ( GK)
2. Gunners (MF)
3. Victor Camerassa (MF)
4. Harry Arter (MF)
5. Keedam Harris (W)

We have one long term injury - Sol Bamba ( CB)
so effectively that 6 players not available from last season with a big hole in mid field.

We have already had 3 players come in
1. Joe Day (GK)
2. Nelson (CB)
3. Vaulks (MF)

I would also include Tomlin (MF) ( he could almost be termed as a new signing)

that leaves two gaps to be filled - another Midfielder (a General) and a striker, that is where our so-called Maquee signing will be, however I would anticipate that at least one of Ward, Zahore or Madine will go out.

Watch that space :old:

Yes but just using it a measure for players in and out

keep Ward. He can score goals, can head a ball, runs around a lot chasing the ball and looks like he cares.
Madine can go if a new striker comes in
