Here are a few snippets from Warnock’s post-match press conference at San Antonio.
What did you make of it out there?
“They were as fit as you’d expect a side at this stage of their season.
“But it was just what we needed really.
“The pitch was the same for both sides, it wasn’t dangerous.
“It didn’t really help them either.
“I was really impressed with the stadium.
“I thought it was a good atmopshere and it was nice to see it quite full.
“It was a good workout, no injuries and a lot endeavour.
“And it was a our first full game really so it’s just great preparation.”
Lee Peltier okay? He went down just towards the end
“Peltier just had a bit of cramp at the end, thank goodness.
How are you coping with the weather?
“It was hotter than we thought. Yesterday it was quite decent at half seven, but tonight it was the same temperature throughout.
“It just reiterates that in my 40 years I’m glad I never managed abroad!
On the Cardiff City fans that travelled
“They’re an amazing group.
“I was talking to a lad beforehand, who said that his dad used to work in Cardiff and he’s a Bluebird.
“He flew from Florida to watch the game and I just think it’s amazing.
“We are a family club and we’re trying to get people to just enjoy it as a day out.
“There’s too much seriousness at times and professionalism etc.
“Sometimes you forget about the enjoyment.”
