Aaron Bolger gone with first team squad to America

Gone to America with the squad whilst the U23s are going to Cornwall. Looked a decent player at the taffs well game, looks like he’s impressed Warnock enough to get him on that plane, be interesting to see how much game time he gets, could be one for the future!

He joins on loan from Shamrock Rovers in a move that raised plenty of eyebrows





Aaron Bolger, 18, is a central midfielder who has been playing for Irish giants Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland for the past year or so.

He has played 27 matches, scoring once, three of those appearances coming in the Europa League.


How good is he?

Irish Mirror football correspondent Paul O'Hehir reveals that Bolger is a diminutive but talented box-to-box midfielder.

"He's technically excellent," said Paul.

"Very small in stature but well capable of putting himself about as well. Not afraid of a tackle, that's for sure.

"He wasn't always in the Rovers team but their manager, Stephen Bradley, has put a lot of emphasis in youth since taking charge a couple of years ago and isn't afraid to play 'the kids'.

He looked decent up taffswell so we shall see when they get back if hes still in the first team

I would love to have a ratter in midfield . I loved watching Arter last year , you could see the opposition pass it quickly away when he was approaching and he still get something on them even if it was an elbow to the arm or a shoulder to their shoulder . You know just a nice how do you do ? Just letting you know I am around

I would love to see us play Bolger and Coxe. Coxe especially could jump straight into our team over Peltier. Free up funds for another position!

If you watch the YouTube interview with Vaulks I think he can play that role as well.
He stated that some players don’t like playing against him and that he enjoys putting himself about.

Totally agree, his experience was invaluable for us last season. Its no surprised we looked much weaker without him in the team
