This is what I was told today, just popped down Cardiff, I am back for 3 days and was down the ground.


Warnocks main target.

I am led to believe:

Cardiff City’s main target this season is a ball winning, midfield general, who is a leader and can contribute to making and scoring goals.


City are not looking for an out and out striker, unless a couple of the strikers leave first.
Despite what the media are saying.


Cardiff have actually received no bids at all for Neil Etheridge so far, but if a £10million bid actually came in then they would sell him.

If Etheridge is not sold then they would accept a substantial bid for Smithie.

As much as we all want a striker we still have a few here to move on. Hopefully Medine and Bogle can find another home. Last thing we want is an unmanageable wage bill.

Sign someone on a free and get £10mill for him after 2 seasons. Smithies is a very good championship keeper so if selling Etheridge meant we would could sign a striker then I would be happy to let him go.

Hopefully we can shift Bogle and Madine as I think we are only a natural goal scorer and another CM away from being a very strong championship team.

That is very true! We pretty much robbed wolves in that deal!haha

I agree about the RB. Jazz and Peltier are quite injury prone. If we cant spend the money to get a first choice RB in we should be getting a youngster in with a bit of potential to hopefully break into the team in the next season or two.

No matter what Warnock or the club says, I reckon Warnock still wants a Striker, he had his fingers burnt last year and won't make the same mistake again.

Very dissapointing news if true.

Warnock fucked up big time not signing a top quality striker last season and it cost us our premier league status.

If warnock makes the same mistake this season again then as much as i like him he is a fool and will go down massively in my estimation. Once can be forgiven but make the same mistake twice then you are a fool.

In fairness,he did his best to rectify that in january, with a record signing so close? But I agree we need a Striker, and I believe we will get one
