Tammy Abraham

Sat Jun 29, 2019 12:09 am

I've seen a couple of reports linking him with us, although it seems unlikely to me.

There are other reports that he wants to stay at Chelsea on the basis that Frank Lampard is taking over - although that's far from settled and I can see Raphael Benítez getting that job. Can't see Abrahams holding a first team place either way though.

I'm also a bit confused as to why Arseton Vanilla don't want him back.

Any suggestions ?

Can't see him coming here for two reasons.
1. Why would he choose Cardiff over Villa or Chelsea?
2. We can't afford him.

It was mentioned to me conversationally by someone from talksport but I regarded it as total bollocks, then it was chucked in as an afterthought in something online about Will Vaulks and it therefore made me wonder.
I think it was Bristol Online or HITC but I can't find it now - someone else must have seen it.

I did say that it's probably bollocks, but it's not a wind up or anything on my part.

Well, always being one to be as fair as possible, this was on the www.getreading.co.uk website; although I'm doubting Tammy Abraham would come to Cardiff with Frank Lampard about to take over at Chelski and Villa reportedly interested in taking him back for their return to the Premier League

But who knows at this crazy club...? ;) :laughing6: :ayatollah:

Cardiff boss targets three more

Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock has had a busy couple of days on the market, but Wales Online report that he isn’t done by a long stretch.

Warnock, along with his latest acquisitions, intends to bring in a midfielder for the engine room, a pacy winger and an expensive goal-getting forward.

The list of possible targets for the former QPR manager include Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, who impressed for Villa last season and was crucial in their promotion to the top flight.

Yeah I think that's what I saw,I agree that it seems most unlikely, but I mentioned it because a football journalist had been insisting to me that it was a done deal and that he'd be at Cardiff City this season. Mind you he was pissed and although he's often right about stuff long before its published ,he's been wrong once or twice too.

No chance whatsoever that he will sign for us permanently or on loan

Never say never; that can bite you in the backside; but it would be a coup and a half given his apparent options ;)

Personally, I'm not sold on Abraham overall but his scoring record suggests he can find the net :thumbright:

Just out of interest, why are you not sold on Tammy Abraham? As you've already stated, his goal scoring record stacks up well. He does what it says on the can... scores goals!

If I can butt in and answer that , I don't trust him. Not personally you understand, but he gives me the impression that he could fade away at any time. I've seen a lot of players like that who play like a footballing genius then can't get anything right all of a sudden and I can't explain why but I somehow see that potential in this player

Well, even the best strikers in world football will have their barren spells I suppose. However, he's been pretty consistent since he broke onto the scene on loan at Bristol City. It could be argued he didn't do much during his loan spell at Swansea, but I don't think they gave him a fair crack of the whip.

Because of Chelsea’s transfer ban I think they may want to keep him until at least January.

“His apparent options” is the reason he won’t be coming to us..with probably half the premiership teams interested and Chelsea under a transfer embargo he is hardly likely to end up playing for us

Hello!

I think I alluded to this in my post! ;)
