Warnocks at the wheel,
Tell me how good does it feel,
We've got bamba, Neil Etheridge and Reid,
Mendez-Laign, is all that we need,
Du du du du....
The greatest Welsh team of it all,
We always score!
------‐------------------------------
Si sinor,
Pass the ball to Reid and he will score,
Theres something that the blues want you to know,
The best in the world and he will always score,
He's our Bobby Reid,
Give the ball and he'll score everytime!
-------------------------------------
Theres a starman playing on the right,
His name is mendez-laign and hes f*cking dynamite!

Iv been following Cardiff for nearly 30 years and in my experience you find that with 1-2 exceptions that you will have a group of lads come up with a song and none of the others will join in, then another group of lads will sing their new song, and nobody will join in with that either. It's as if it's an area vs area thing, Cardiff fans have always been great singers on coaches, concourses and pubs but en masse we just seem to have the same old same old

Think we need to bring some of the classics back
Fri Jun 28, 2019 10:33 am
What about a complete Operetta in the style of Gilbert and Sullivan , in costume and with different voice ranges together in areas of the ground ?
It could be commissioned to be written to start with a 20 minute prelude as the crowd comes in, then last exactly 90 minutes including an intermission at half time, during which people can sip cocktails and be served canopes on trays. It would then build gradually to a big ending with a repetitive choral reprise, which could simply be repeated louder and louder ,over and over again in the event of injury time.
It'd be a nice touch, thinking about it, to have ballerinas performing on the pitch at half time.
Let's face it, we're not going to be on Match of the Day much this season, but if we did this we'd be on BBC 2 and Sky Arts quite a lot.

This ^ . Also liked ‘one man went to mow’ although I know a number consider it a Chelsea song. Remember back to when I first started following ( mid to late 90s) that we used to respond to an engerland ! Chant with ‘South Wales South Wales ‘ . Similarly the Peter Thorne song referenced Wrexham . For obvious reasons our rivalry with the north is dead now. Always like north wales lads from wales away games personally.

Out fans have become too soft, no one would dream of chanting this anymore, I fear that the bite we once had as fans and the reputation we had for being loud and having a partizan atmosphere is slowly dwindling

Pato’s a striker,
Quite different from the rest,
He can play in midfield and defence, he simply is the best,
Pato’s a striker (repeat)
To the tune of ‘Belter by Gerry Cinnamon

Can everyone make sure they learn this in time for the first game.
I am the very model of a Cardiff City Casual,
I've information vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical
From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical.
I'm very well acquainted, too, with matters mathematical,
I understand equations, both the simple and quadratical,
About binomial theorem I'm teeming with a lot of news,
With many cheerful facts about the square of the hypotenuse.
I'm very good at integral and differential calculus;
I know the scientific names of beings animalculous:
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a Cardiff City Casual,
I know our mythic history, King Arthur's and Sir Caradoc's;
I answer hard acrostics, I've a pretty taste for paradox,
I quote in elegiacs all the crimes of Heliogabalus,
In conics I can floor peculiarities parabolous
I can tell undoubted Raphaels from Gerard Dows and Zoffanies,
I know the croaking from The Frogs of Aristophanes!
Then I can hum a fugue of which I've heard the music's din afore,
And whistle all the airs from that infernal nonsense Pinafore.
Then I can write a washing bill in Babylonic cuneiform,
And tell you ev'ry detail of Caractacus's uniform,
In short, in matters vegetable, animal, and mineral,
I am the very model of a Cardiff City Casual.

That’s a shame because I reckon every person who sang that was both evil and an urban guerilla. NQA

Well I wouldn't say that stuff myself. Urban guerilla isn't important, but the other thing should not be invited in.
When my kids were a certain age people were starting to use the word "wicked"'to mean good or stylish, ( that happened in South Wales before it caught on everywhere by the way). Anyway, I banned the expression and they now ban their own kids from it.

Is 'Ole Ole Ole Ole, stab a jack, in the back' acceptable anymore?
I also used to enjoy singing 'rent boy, rent boy, rent boy, rent boy' to opposition keepers but the pc brigade won't like that one either.

I started from 93. South Wales was sung all the time, I loved the Peter Thorne song, we should bring it back if we sign a new striker and just swap Wrexham for Bristol.
I never liked one man went to mow, it went on too long and rarely lasted to the end when the bluebirds went to mow lol
