MASON A DON

MK Dons have secured the services of ex Cardiff City striker Joe Mason.

04/06/19

Mason joins on a free transfer after leaving Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he had spent the past two-and-a-half seasons.

“I’m over the moon to finally get this move done,” Mason told iFollow MK Dons.

“This is a club that has a lot of ambition. They are moving in the right direction and the facilities are so impressive.”

Always liked Mason

Similar player to Rhys Healey though and Rhys can't get a look in at the moment.

But still, I think he started to find form with us with Slade after Kenwyne Jones left, and I think had we not sold him who knows what his future for us would've been. But yeah was sad to see him go at the time but pleased with the money we got for him.

Nowhere near good enough for the championship way too slow

He did a job for us and scored one of the most memorable goals ever at Wembley versus Liverpool, so respect for that. However, he was never consistent enough and that incredible offer from Wolves was a no-brainer from a City point of view

Never a problem as a player though and I wish him all the best at MK Dons; who have one of the best stadiums in the lower divisions :thumbright:

Always struck me as a kid with a cool head when he was young. But that aspect seemed to desert him as he got older. He also had a lack of pace which all top draw strikers of hi ilk need.

I don't think it was disrespect mate. just as he sees it, I agree , he was not good enough, which was why the offer seemed incredible ?

Good move for Joe,stadium MK is 10 times better than ccs and probably in the top ten in Europe so it’s definitely an attractive move

Yes,anyone who’s ever been there can’t fail to be impressed,I’m a lover of old stadia, but I’d make an exception for this one, proper tinted glass, escalators to upper levels, symmetrical all way round,ok fans say their a plastic club but what a stadium, even the walk up to it is good and that’s not to mention the hotel, good enough for a champions league finalist even

I quite like the CCS and it gets good feedback from non Cardiff fans visiting for Wales games...
the roof is a drawback but the seating and concourses are great. .never been to MK but tinted glass at football would never impress me..escalators in the upper Ninian yes but not tinted glass..

That was my personal comment and not a refection on 'Llan_Blue' or his comment, which was reasonable :thumbright:

Better you don't jump on some posts and let people think you're not as smart as you believe, rather than doing the above and proving it beyond doubt! ;)

its hard to tell. it sounded so much like your comment/dig on Giggs talking about managing his injuries..which he clearly did to play as long as he did having had recurring problems..

Where's my 'dig' in that (see below)? :?

It's well know I'm not a Giggs fan but for you to make that up is (at best) disappointing

Horrible club.

Hope it doesn't work out and he does well at his next club.

League One is probably his level.

Ok tinted glass may not float your boat but compare that to supposedly clear perspex that’s faded stained and looks like something out of a builders yard,oh yeah almost forgot the padded seats if you like that sort of thing ,and oodles of car parking space to boot
