Portsmouth drop summer transfer hint over Cardiff City striker Omar Bogle -
Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett says he will consider bringing Cardiff City striker Omar Bogle back to Fratton Park this summer.
The striker spent the second half of last season on loan on the south coast, and made a decent impact for Jackett's side, netting four goals in 14 appearances as Pompey earned themselves a place in the play-offs.
The 25-year-old has since returned to South Wales following Cardiff's relegation to the Championship, and has one year left on his current deal with the Bluebirds.
Jackett is already planning another assault on promotion to the second tier, and believes the striker could well be the best option for strengthening his options ahead of the new season, although it's not clear yet whether he would favour a permanent deal or another loan.
He told the Portsmouth News : "Cardiff have come down into the Championship.
"For Omar, anyway, we will consider him along with all of the other loans.
"We’ll see whether it is a possibility or a consideration in terms of Omar coming back and fulfilling the potential that we have seen in him.
"He had a frustrating couple of injuries – first a niggling hamstring and then a groin injury the last game of the season when he would have played.
"We were looking for him.
"There were glimpses in that loan spell and we will consider him now along with all the loan players.
"But nine and 10 positions I do feel we need to strengthen and add competition."
Bogle signed for Cardiff for £700,000 back in August 2017, but seemingly fell out of favour with boss Neil Warnock, featuring just 12 times for the club.
The former Grimsby Town striker has already admitted he would be tempted by a permanent move to Fratton Park.
"I would have to consider it (a move to Pompey)," he said when questioned back in March.
"It is a big club, a good club and I get on really well with the gaffer.
"It’s something I would have to look at."

I’ve no idea whether this is accurate but as soon as I read your post £0.5M spring to mind.
If so, we’ll have Lowe for £1M and. Bogle. Maybe add on £0.5 m if we go back up or he scores 15+ goals.
Sorted.
