Any body a fan of the whole ultra ?

For me as an outsider it looks like another way too ramp up atmosphere inside and outside a ground, would any one like too see this happen with us ? Have our own Cardiff ultras

I though the crowd atmosphere in the stadium this season was constantly the best in the last 50 years.
Anything that helps and makes the atmosphere even better is great, but we don't need to become Stripey Nigels like Palace to prove our worth.

There's no doubt that the European Ultra culture can bring some fantastic atmosphere to games.
Some of the displays of German/Italian & Dutch ultras visiting English clubs in Eurpoean competition in recent seasons have
been really impressive, The F.C. Cologne visit to London & Emirates probably being the biggest.
However, at a lot of European clubs there's no clear differential between Ultras and old style English firms.
There's a documentary on Youtube called English Ultras & the Crystal Palace story which is worth a look.
Could it work at Cardiff? Yeah why not? I wouldn't personally write it off as a non starter and would have been willing to have
got involved in something 20 years ago, however for me, I think Ultras is something for the 20 - 30 somethings not the over fifties!

I agree about our atmosphere last season, especially the Canton..made their little corner of Selhurst park and Man Utds equally small corner at OT look small time. .long may it continue..

Always felt the atmosphere created by the ultras is pre planned and more about the displays were as atmospheres in this country is more off the cuff often pure emotions

i went to see psv eindhoven play den haag in april, gotta say the atmoshere in the build up to, and during the game was absolutly brilliant, the whole end with their ultras in was bouncing for the whole of the game drums going and chanting all game , be great if the club could get something like that going

I had to look it up .
They sound like a bunch of nutters and freaks to me.
I can't see how it'd improve anything and it'd encourage people to start attacking away supporters in mobs like they used to .

Actually I can understand why youngsters get aggressive at football because they're denied normal outlets in our Nancy boy society, so I'm not being sanctimonious about it, but on the other hand it's not on and so I personally don't think this idea of dressing up like umpa lumpas and chucking bangers all over the place is anything we want to encourage.
