Will be more, if sheffield do want him its a premier league side wanting to sign him - cardiff will take the opportunity to get more money out of him and looking at around 4-5 million

In fairness Sheffield United create about 10 chances a game it would be hard to not be good as a striker in that team. The fact that Chris Wilder got a 32 year old Billy Sharp scoring 20 + goals in the championship and got David McGoldrick firing, and Leon Clarke last season scoring goals says more about him as a manager than the players imo. Don't see Madine doing any better now than when he was last here tbh.

Are we paying them the £2m?

If we are only getting 2 million. I'd rather keep him and have on bench. Was it 4 or 6 we paid for him.

6, but we're also paying him a wage which is far in excess of his abilities . Better to cut our losses and save the wages.
He was a good prospect at the time but there's always a big wastage in the transfer market and it was a mistake.

He's said he was unhappy at Cardiff and he's another nutter who's likely to get pissed up and get into fights every so often, so it's time for him to go.

he is a good option forward to have in your squad, not going to get you bags of goals but is good in the air holds the ball up and gives your defence a breather...its why warnock bought him ,wilder loaned him and half a dozen other championship managers were keen to loan him...apart from maybe getting a couple of goals did what he was brought here to do...we went up...

Fair comment and you may be right.
I'm hoping that he's going to use Bobby Reid in a slightly different set up this year though.
Who knows , Gary Madine might even score goals because he's done it before but I'm not confident about that.

Absalute nonsence. You buy a striker to score you goals and he didnt. He was awful and needs to be shipped out asap.

he is never going to get many, especially how we used him last time .
but is defo a different problem for CBs to face if looking to change things..im with the manager whether he offloads or keeps him though...just hope that decision is not tilted by some fans decision to slag him off while our manager was actually simultaneously picking the fella AND winning promotion ..as did Wilder this season..

I agree with that.
