STAM: OLE NEEDS TO MAKE HARD DECISIONS

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to make some "hard decisions" during the summer to get Manchester United competing for major honours again, according to Jaap Stam.

"I think we definitely could do with some more quality up front, in midfield and the back four as well," Stam told Sky Sports News.

"You want a squad that is competitive towards each other. Everyone needs to push each other to get the maximum out of everyone - to achieve something.

"As manager and as a club you need to have a look at that. After the last couple of seasons and how everything is going, I think it is good to re-evaluate everything in the team.

"Look at the players, what they have done and what they have achieved. Even players who have a contract for another three or four seasons - you need to make your choices towards them and what you want to do with them.

"At the end of the day the most important thing is to achieve the goals you set out, sometimes you need to make hard decisions to do that."

Man Utd have become complacent and stagnant over the last few seasons, no major ins and outs and a Chairman with no clue about football in Ed Woodward. Brilliant business man but shit when it comes to
Football.

The managers have had the same issues since David Moyes took over, players who seem to be there for the weekly pay check and not for football. A notch on the CV to say they’ve played at the ‘best club in the world’

They have the worlds best goalkeeper (who has had 1 shit season since SAF left) and then you got the weakest centre back pairing of Jones and Smalling.... no right back (Valencia is a winger not a RB and so is Young) they leave Bailly and Fred out, Sanchez couldn’t hit a barn door lately, Martial has too much going on personally to concentrate on football, Rashford has lost his shooting confidence, Lukaku is just Lukaku.... Everton got rid of him for the same reason Chelsea did. Pogba should never have been brought back, SAF let him go for a reason and think he’s shown that this season.

Along with playing players out of position, not relying on the talent they’ve got on their books and allowing top players time away to sign for other clubs instead of keeping hold of them it’s been a piss poor showing for them these last few seasons
