Neil Lennon says he hopes to bring success to Celtic "going forward" after being offered the permanent manager's role.
Lennon, the interim manager of Celtic, was offered the role shortly after Odsonne Edouard's double helped them beat Hearts 2-1 to win the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park on Saturday.
"It's a privilege - it has been my privilege to manage this club once, but to do it a second time, I feel like I have come full circle," said Lennon, who replaced Brendan Rodgers on a caretaker basis in February.

Neil Lennon has been speaking after accepting the chance to become the full-time Celtic boss following the club's win over Hearts in the Scottish Cup final.
"It's a privilege - it has been my privilege to manage this club once, but to do it a second time, I feel like I have come full circle," Lennon said, who replaced Brendan Rodgers on a caretaker basis in February," he said.
"It was always an objective. I left the club on good terms last time and nothing has changed.
"It has been a roller coaster couple of months. It has been difficult but I hope I can bring a lot more success going forward."
Celtic's chief executive Peter Lawell said Lennon "would have been manager regardless of what happened" in the Scottish Cup final after he "stepped up" in their "moment of need", adding that "there was no one better" than him."

Nice to see Lennon taking all the glory that Rodgers put in place. He had the easiest run in in football, only OGS could have messed it up....

With the budget disparity and lack of competition I think even OGS could have got the Bheasts over the line.

Why can’t Rangers compete with Celtic?
They’ve done really well since being dropped from competing neck and neck with Celtic all the way down to the Scottish 4th Division, resulting in losing all their best players and starting from scratch more or less, with back to back promotions to get back into the Scottish Prem.
They would have done better starting in the lower leagues and pushing through the Lower English divisions like they were offered with Celtic when they approached to join the PL
