They will probably lose the best players they would want to keep either in order to comply with FFP rules, or because they want to leave or loan period is up. They are in danger of being stuck with a few mercenaries who don't want to be there and who no one else wants but they cant get rid of because of the wages they are on.
I would say we are in a much better position. Nucleus of a good squad, can spend at least 20 million and still comply with the FFP rules due to parachute payment and the profit we must have made this season. Whether Tan gives the OK to spend that money is another thing.

Parker won't have most of those players at his disposal next season though. Mitrovic off, Babel only on loan, Sessegnon most probably gone, they've gambled this season, it's backfired and drastic cut backs will have to be made and a big rebuilding job on a sensible budget will need to be done.
Overall, I think those odds are horrendous. Teams like Wigan (no disrespect) should be a minimum of 20/1 for promotion, not 9/1! I think Barnsley will be the surprise package, their manager has got them playing some outstanding football. They must be a very good price to stay up if they're 2/1 to go down?

Monday 6th May 2019
The Bluebirds have been installed as third favourites for promotion at 11/4 with Sky Bet, while Swansea are joint sixth at 4/1.
Relegated Fulham and Stoke City are joint favourites at 5/2, with Huddersfield and Middlesbrough at 3/1 and Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday at 4/1 alongside the Swans.
In terms of winning the 2019/20 Championship title, Cardiff are 10/1, with the Swans at 16/1.
The current odds, of course, do not include the four play-off teams, Leeds United, West Brom, Aston Villa and Derby County, who will battle it out for a place in the the top flight over the coming weeks.
Barnsley, who have been promoted from League One for next term, are 2/1 favourites for relegation, with Luton Town at 5/2.
You can get 12/1 on Swansea going down and 16/1 on the Bluebirds to suffer a second consecutive relegation.
Both Welsh teams will have ambitions to challenge for promotion, with much depending on what happens during the summer transfer window as Cardiff come to terms with the financial realities of life outside the Premier League and Swansea remain hamstrung by their own money issues.
The odds on the 20 confirmed Championship teams being promoted next season
Fulham 5/2
Stoke 5/2
Cardiff 11/4
Huddersfield 3/1
Middlesbrough 3/1
Brentford 4/1
Sheffield Wednesday 4/1
Swansea 4/1
Bristol City 5/1
Nottingham Forest 5/1
Blackburn 7/1
Birmingham 8/1
Hull 8/1
Preston 8/1
Barnsley 9/1
Luton 9/1
Millwall 9/1
QPR 9/1
Reading 9/1
Wigan 9/1
