Overall the league table does not lie. Irrelevant of bad refs or what could of been..
We wasn't good enough its as simple as that, we done more than i expected to take it to the last two games to be fair.
Eitherway it's back down we go, unlike some who only turn up for prem football I was there like alot of the older lads who done there few hundred to the likes of Scarborough away in div 3 So I've seen alot worse times than this.
Im not down about it either as these are the good times. A local derby next season and who knows whats in store yet. Onward and upwards.

Spot on, Annis. For every shocking decision that’s cost us, we’ve had some go our way too.
I don’t believe we were the third worst team in the PL this year, but the truth is we choked almost EVERY time we needed to step up and take control of our own destiny. Brighton, for example, where in the shite recently and did enough to grind out the points they needed. Wasn’t pretty, but they did it.
Truthfully, I’ll look back at this season’s failures as being mostly down to poor team selection and setups, and failure to address our striker problem back when it mattered (August). That said, I’ve enjoyed this season, and wouldn’t trade it for another year of top half Championship football - we can do that next year instead

You just have to look at the home games against Huddersfield and Newcastle where it showed we lacked a little bit.

Same old our ninth season at this level in the last 90 years comes to end .where so many have had a decent spell in the top flight is totally beyond our club.

Well said.

I agree with almost everything he said up until the last bit.
I'm down about it, a relegation is a relegation whether it's from Division 3 or the Premier League, absolutely gutted tonight tbh.
Just because we have had worse times doesn't make this a good time and I have seen us play in every division and also been to Scarborough amongst many other shit holes. I don't know why people throw that in like it gives them some kind of superiority to be honest.

I guess, if I’m honest, I accepted the likelihood of our fate last week or the week before, which might be why I’m not so down about it tonight.

Yes we’ve been found wanting re quality and Warnock but the referee decisions against us in recent weeks have been appalling and not made up by decisions in our favour.

I would usually agree but their is no denying the refs have a reference for the top clubs. I don't think they do it on purpose but they know if they mess up for say Liverpool next weekend they will be villafied.
I think you can look at the manager and say he is the reason we kept close all season but also cost us in a few games.
We have been far to cautious, it took us 9 games to get a win and in two of them we had a man advantage against relation rivals. We showed far to much respect to teams this season.

If you look at the teams who have gone down it's no surprise. Huddersfield couldn't score and shipped goals, Fulham couldn't defend, We couldn't score or keep the ball to apply prolonged pressure (apart from Fulham home). Briton couldn't score either but they had that nice little run of 1-0s before they played us the first time. In the end that's got them over the line.
The only reason they have stayed up is Fulham were absolutely usless at the back, otherwise they'd be coming down with us.
You can't go into the premier league without a CF. Then when we tried to address this we had the Sala tragedy.
I feel Reid should have started a lot more games as a number 10. He's the only player in our squad who looks like scoring.
Biggest disappointments
Refereeing
Set pieces both attacking & defedning.
The amount of time we gave the ball away.
Media.
To negative in crucial moment's.
No Right Back
No CF
Not enough CM cover.
Hoillet finishing.
Morrisons missed chances.
Positives
NML
Reid
Crowed were brillaint from start to finish
Bamba, Morrison & Manga will be the best CBs in the Championship.
With important additions our squad will be far better than the year we we're prompted.
Won't be easy as the pressure will be tottaly different but it will be exciting, where all results are possible and Refs will be rubbish but rubbish for both teams..................

Most games we missed too many chances and possession wise we were always out played. Hopefully a bit of a sort out for the summer.

think the opposite.
we were not the 3rd worse squad . we were the worse and far from choke we battled and ground out enough games to keep ourselves alive and in with a chance. mainly down to a fantastic team ethic and tactics..
people thinking we were any better best brace themselves for most of our players being snapped up during the summer. because as sure as night follows day other managers and clubs will have picked up on our players under performance due to poor tactics not a poor squad...or maybe not eh ? perhaps the 17 remaining clubs should all sack their blind managers and recruit replacements off here.?

Thing is , it also shows the loss of Sala impact plus also more investment at start of season in two players would of made the difference

it sounds easy..and its nice to think Sala especially would have made a difference . but reality is all transfers are gambles..and most of the clubs around us spent more on players that did not work out than we did..

If you can accept a little constructive criticism from a Jack, I think too many early games attempting the long ball over the top were wasted and added to your relegation. Prem defenders/back fours deal with them easily. you played good football in the second half of the season, collecting points,Warnock, not really the man for a Prem team.Took him too long to realise Championship doesn't keep you in the Prem.Next prob players have had a taste of Prem football and keeping them is difficult, and if your owner is like ours will try and re-coupe as much of their losses from them. Look forward to the derby's again. Good luck.

1996 first game of the season, Scarborough Away, 0-0 'who put the ball in the English net'.
Halycon days. Seriously though, it doesn't matter if you have been going 5 years or 50 years.
We have a massive problem with our support with some thinking they are better than others, it's what holds us back as a Club. Sad realy.
