If there was a General Election

Fri May 03, 2019 9:20 pm

Any one willing to say who and why they would vote for someone in a General Election

Re: If there was a General Election

Brexit Party for me.
For me I was 50 50 on leaving the EU. Since the people voted and they voted to leave, the PMS have destroyed democracy and made their own decision. They are delaying it on purpose, trying to pull the wool over the voters eyes.

Labour is run by a megalomaniac who is delude traitor.

Conservative dont give a shit about anyone other than the very wealthy

All in all though, no politician gives a toss about the people

Couldn't have put it better myself. It amazes me that Welsh people are so devoted to the Labour party that no matter who leads them or what they stand for they still vote for them. No wonder we get called sheep shagged a because we are like sheep

Got to agree. Labour has been passed down from father to son for years as for the working class. This is now compete bullshit and they are no longer the Labour party of the 70s 80s 90s.
But the blinded still vote for them and i cannot understand why

Spot on brexit party for me and if they do not have a candidate standing no- one I shall never vote again because this country is now not democratic the people's will has been ignored
On another subject if we are supposed to be a democracy can I ask a simple question
When was the last time we had a vote to keep the Royal parasites :banghead:

So assuming the Brexit party could field a candidate in every constituency, I wonder what quality they would be and what other policies they'd have on things like health, education, housing, transport, defence, etc. If this forum is typical of the general population (which I doubt) then we are looking at a landslide for the Brexit party. No doubt they would finish the job of taking UK out of Europe.......but what would come next?? :ayatollah:

Brexit has shown that democracy is dead and the MPs are all self serving pond life. I wouldn't bother lifting my ass off off the sofa.

We would have to wait for their full agenda I suppose. To be honest though all the other parties are the same and do not have your interests at heart.

This country needs a kick up the arse one way or another.

brexit party for me

Re: If there was a General Election

Sat May 04, 2019 10:25 am

So over half of the people who've voted want 5 years of a party who have one policy: 'brexit'. Not even how they'll implement it, farage has said about a second referendum but I imagine most voters would want an immediate exit.
They won't even say who their big donor is.

On other non-BREXIT matters the BREXIT Party would be no different to the other mainstream parties Conservatives, Labour and LibDems in that they would promise the world and deliver f**k all. The BREXIT Party would have one main objective and that is to get us out of the EU and honour the mandate given by the 2016 EU referendum. Once we are out then the BP could in theory say job done and call a General Election.

This is exactly what I was thinking Tony. I'd vote for The Brexit Party, get us out of the EU with their self serving bureaucrats and then call a GE.

100% agree. I am astonished at the breath taking hypocrisy of MP's who now claim that leaving the EU is "too complicated" and can't be achieved when it was them who passed a law stopping a no deal BREXIT and them who can't decide a way of leaving.

We have been mislead right from the start. There was no reason why a withdrawal agreement and a future free trade agreement could-not have been negotiated in tandem. The reason why they were not was to create this so called "Irish Boarder" problem. A free trade agreement on goods would sort the problem at a stroke but the EU and remain MP's use it as a way of frustrating BREXIT.

I couldn't give a toss who the donor is all I want is the referendum honoured and implemented. If that means no deal then that is better than being run by an unelected EU Commission and seeing our troops serve in an EU Army commanded by an Italian General.

Re: If there was a General Election

Conservative for me.
It,s true in Wales you could put a red jacket on a pig and labour would win votes, i,m more right wing than red so tories for me, but remember.
When cameron won easy he wasn,t expected too but what happened was Farages ukip voted turned tory votes to stop labour getting in.
As much as i agree with many on here and the Brexit party Farage,s party will do the same again to stop comrade corbyn getting the keys to no 10.
And if he did get the keys God help you all and i would never return to Britain not even for a holiday .

Unfortunately may as recently said there wont be a no deal so looks like hjis could go on until someone gives in which means botched membership of EU or another vote? What i detest is the traitors saying put mps decision to the people but they want the question remain in EU on ballot ? Nothing to do with what mps agree

Plaid for me. The only party that actually gives a s**t about Wales. Thank god Leanne Wood has left mind  Cymru am byth ac plaid am byth.

Re: If there was a General Election

Plaids 2017 manifesto is a pipe dream. Anyone who buys into it, needs to explain where the extra £10bn a year is coming from.

Re: If there was a General Election

Brexit Party for me as they represent the only real chance of removing the influence of the political elite in this country. As a political power they may be "Single Issue" but in my opinion they provide the perfect vehicle to allow the electorate of this country to wrestle back control of democracy in the UK.

A) The unelected EU commission has to be voted to be approved by elected people, anything they want has to be approved by the elected members again
B) Anytime an EU army has been brought up we've used our veto to stop it, No brexit = no chance of EU army. Brexit = chance of EU army
C) The donor could be anyone and as they are a a large donator they can start putting pressure to get policies that they want so maybe you should care slightly if you're voting for them

Re: If there was a General Election

We’re at a stage now where a vote is a wasted vote.
Might as well vote for the Brexit Party, all the others have lied through their teeth, and people are fed up with it.

Re: If there was a General Election

Sat May 04, 2019 1:09 pm

Can't believe anyone in Wales vote tory, they couldn't give a flying one about us down here, we're nothing more than third world peasants to them. Labour will never get in with Corbyn in charge and the Brexit party are only muscling in on how bad the two main parties are. None of them are fit to run a bath let alone a country. Green party for me, can no longer be done with being fed bullshit by privileged spoonfed toffs.

Re: If there was a General Election

Sat May 04, 2019 1:54 pm

Comrade Corbyn for me. Brexit Party have no substance, and what do they do when Brexit happens? Give up?

And Farage is duplicitous t**t too. Probably the least trustworthy man of any politicians, even more so than Gove or Johnson.

Re: If there was a General Election

Sat May 04, 2019 2:27 pm

Green for me, hate the Tories and what Labour (who I use to vote for) have become, also would prefer to stay in Europe and we need to start getting serious about climate change, if we don't what a legacy we leave for the future generations

On a footie note, if you do go down at least you get the chance to have a good day out at friendly Griffin Park one more time

Come on you Bee's

Yep commission voted for by elected EU mps! So the people have no choice of who sets out the laws but rely on true honest politicians to make that choice? :laughing6:
Same type of politicians who have ignored the wishes of the people..... as for EU army let them have it without us because it will be a bottomless cheque as only several countries could afford to pay into it plus Germany cannot send fighting men into a war situation as constitution doesnt allow it.... So muggins will put in majority of personel in doubt :old:

You got money grabbing bastards one side.

Complete looney weirdos the other side.

The rest are worthless

Re: If there was a General Election

I’m with Llan_Blue at the moment, none of them are worthy of my vote.

I feel the current system is outdated and flawed, there are too many parties and options available meaning there are an awful lot of wasted votes.

Just to prove my point, take a look at the last 2 General Elections. When you look at the individual votes and count them as an overall whole Conservatives didn’t win the majority votes, the majority votes went on Labour and other independent small parties, the majority didn’t want a conservative government hence why the current system is flawed. You could go and spend a few hundred quid and run for MP of an area, get a few thousand votes and not get anywhere, ultimately a few thousand wasted votes in the grand scheme of it all.

The system needs a change just not sure how it can be changed or implemented.
