I know that was 'tongue in cheek' but way too late for him to join this club; he turned us down in the past and (as Ledley will find out) we are no longer a semi-retired footballers haven under a manager who expects his players to be up for the fight and genuinely wanting to play for Cardiff City FC

Charlie Adam was a combative and destructive player in his day, as we found out to our cost in the play-off final v Blackpool, but his days at the top are gone

Joe Ledley moved on for his own reasons and (as is his right) he 'looked after No.1' but he's in the past for us now and I'm not sure he has actually completed a whole season for some time

I'll add Yaya Toure to that list, as well

Yaya Toure in the championship and sensible wages.... I would take a punt on that .... I would rather try and bring in players from the under 23's though.

BUT - we arent in the championship and we still have competitive games to play - lets just concentrate on getting the better of Palace - something Im sure Neil and Co are planning right now.

No good enough for Stoke so what makes him good enough for us ?

Adam is too old and slow now. He'd be OK in League 1 or 2. Same for Ledley, although he may be worth a punt if he's cheap. I think Ledley would be a reliable squad player.
