Without trying to repeat what plenty of others have said, we really have been blessed during Warnock's reign with steadying the ship and guiding us to the PL. We have been very tight and made a small number of signings on a shoe string budget with no player on huge wages.
We will be the only team (if relegated) that will not have to focus the entire transfer window trying to get rid of players on £35k + wages and instead focus on improving our team and stop one or two sniffing around the likes of Etheridge , Manga or Bennett.
Financially, we will be sound from the season in the PL and with future parachute payments. This, with Tan's target to clear all debt is putting us in the best financial position for as long as I can remember.
It's been a hard season for us fans but we have been spoilt with the chance to be in the PL.
If we go down, it's obviously sad but it is not the end of the road, we have got a great team core, albeit we need to make several signings and get rid of some ineffective players.
For me, we need:
Centre Back
Right Back
Centre Mid
Centre Mid
Defensive Mid
Winger
Striker
And get rid of the following:
Matt Connelly
Jazz Richards
Ken Zohore
Rhys Healey
Gary Madine
Omar Bogle
It's not all doom and gloom
For me though, Warnock for one more season and then move towards bringing in a manager like Jokanovic (ex Fulham) with some attacking flair but we have a whole season to make the right appointment.
