A forum for all things Cardiff City

Fans of course have got there opinion on our beloved manager Neil Warnock, BUT he has saved our club from relegation to League 1 and united the whole club after being in pieces after all the rebrand and poor manager sackings before Warnocks reign. So I say that this Premier League season was an unknown for us because we as a club have not experienced this in over 50 years and I don't want our manager to walk away after saving everything the club has built with him in charge.
I want Neil Warnock to stay, because in my opinion he is the only manager to take us back up to the Premier League IF of course we go down. We need to be with him for every step of the way because it's harsh on him, all the criticism.
As a club Cardiff can be proud of being in the Premier League this season after everyone (Except Me) doubting their ability to even secure promotion last season.
I know the Fulham match was poor from our standards and Warnock admits he put the wrong side on but he only puts on the team that are 100% fit and ready for the next match, and who knows what goes on behind the scenes some players might of had knocks which prevented them from playing in the fulham match, like Zohore who never featured in the match or even make it on the bench.
If Warnock reads this, I as a longtime Cardiff City fan believe in your tactics and I am fully behind you every step of the way. I believe IF we go down we had an unforgettable time on the rollercoaster of a Premier League season with loads of highs and lows throughout, but I believe YOUR the manager who can get us Promoted yet again back into the Premier League. BUT Only If We Go Down, This League Is Unpredictable And So Are A Team Like Cardiff, Let's Cause An Upset Against Man Utd And Palace, And Beat Both Teams.
WARNOCK IS THE BEST MANAGER IN OUR CLUB'S HISTORY LET'S BACK HIM ALL THE WAY.

I dont think fans are turning on Neil - other than the usual trolls etc.
FFS - with what he has had to work with - he's performed more miracles than JC.
It's football there are peaks and troughs. I would have liked to see us spend a bit more - but as we have found out - there are agents in place working on our behalf who are in fact - bumping the price up instead.
Norwich and Sheff U - will face a similar dilemma - bankrupt yourself like Fulham or try and do it organically with a careful selection of players that want to play for the club.
Fulham is the blueprint of how to feck it in all aspects.
Happy with the club, happy with the manager and coaching staff etc - we'll go again on Saturday and then see where we are after that. Neil in the championship - is a formidable manager, Neil in the premier league has also proven he can hack it with all the billy bullsh1ters. The PL is not a fair league with the officials seemingly biased (unwittingly) towards the top 6 teams - as we and oters have seen this season

MY THOUGHTS: THE FANS AREN'T TURNING ON WARNOCK
Tue Apr 30, 2019 11:58 am
I don’t think they are, you will always have some trolls and they have (on here at least) been the same ones over the season.
I don’t think any genuine fan would question the work Warnock has done, I struggle to think of any other manager who could have come in when he did and do what he has for the club.
But that was then and this is now and some fans are now looking at what they think is the best way forward for the club in our current positions which I think everyone can agree is a lot stronger than when Warnock took over. I would imagine most fans are doing the same, if change is to be made then its usually a good idea for it to be done over the summer.

Neil Warnock will be fantastic for us next season in the championship, keep the majority of the squad together and we’ll be right up there again
If we stay up I’m not sure if he’ll even want to stay

Nobody's turning on him, just frustrated with his tactics on must win games.

Football is a passionate game. Never take much notice of initial posts after a game, give it a day or so.
You always get the usual posts, I would love us to play like Citeh, but they are a financial freaks sponsored by an Oil rich state.
What surprised me was how the great footballing teams like Liverpool and Wolves leathered the ball forward as much as we do, they just have superior players, so they are better at it.
I doubt many want Neil to move on. He has a bit of a midfield blank canvas next season so it will be interesting.

The best manager we have had in decade's, he will bring us straight back up.

Do you go to games? Not one person has turned against Warnock that goes to games, his support has never been stronger. You get the same old people on here that moan about everything but they are 0.1% of our fan base.

CARDIFF CITY FANS ARE NOT TURNING ON WARNOCK and when i say City fans i mean real fans who support the club, team and manager.
You should really rename your title to - WHY ARE PREMIER LEAGUE FANS TURNING ON NEIL WARNOCK as in my opinion there is a massive difference

Supporters who have followed the club for years are not the ones going against Neil.
One of the best we have had in my opinion and if we do go down imo 6-8 new signings will make us a strong outfit for next season.
I’m sure Neil will want another promotion and then to help the club get the right manager after him.
Yes he’s made mistakes, who hasn’t but it’s been a great ride and if we have to go down to come back up then so be it.
Bad official decisions and a few tweaks here and there and they won’t stop us being back.

Where is the turning on warnock. So a few fans vented after Fulham and I can see why. What I admire is warnock is man enough to say he got it wrong!
No better person to take the team back up. Neil we loves you and you know it

Unfortunately you can only say it was my fault so many times.
My answer is hes a great proven championship manager but has always struggled in the to flight.
Hes a great guy has time for the fans and does get the best out of players in some games.
When we look back over season we have had some very unfortunate times and have still managed to be in with a chance. Positives
Negatives are he has picked the wrong squad & tactics to many times. First 5 games absolutely done us playing against 10 men for 3 and not taking the game to them.
Those points would have saved us. At the time people said early days yet early days dont panic .. bad selection bad tactics and there was 2 months of hoof ball against teams around us !
I would love to see warnock take us up one more but we need a younger manager that is more tactical and plays the players hes bought.
Bobby Reid has been sidelined watching some of the strikers fail to score.
Summer transfers were difficult although we managed to land camarassa & arter on loan.
Mixed views from me but bad stuff has over ridden the good.
Warnock is not a premiership manager !!!

managers just can not win
blame everything and everyone and fans say how about blaming yourself
blame yourself and fans say its too many times { its probably to take pressure off the players at least some of the time }.
picked the wrong squad and tactics too many times...we won promotion against the odds and are still alive against the odds...id call that picking the correct squad and tactics most of the time..when your playing better opponents in any sport losing does not mean you got your tactics wrong, more often than not it is what it is, losing to a better team/opponent...we have lost just the one game this season that we were favs to win.. but won many where we were not...

Another pointless topic made by Sam Rean.
Fans aren’t turning on Warnock. Period.

agree with your 2nd line.{ the majority are not }
but its easy to get that impression reading this message board the last few days..?
mr mistakes..squad, tactics, selections, transfers..
you would swear people were talking about a hapless Michael Crawford in some mothers do have them not the man that took us from bottom 3 to promotion in 20 months and has kept this season alive until at least the 37th game despite having the least valuable squad with the least premier league experience and on the smallest wages who were hot favs for bottom and have only actually being favourites to win in 2 matches this season.
do people remember Paul Trollope or what.? really wasn't that long ago.
