not relegated yet but almost down, reasons why..

for me, nothing really went right
1 i thought the transfer policy was sound, our two big signings both young players that came thru academys at their respective clubs and a few squad players seemed decent enough but warnock hasnt seemed interested in playing any of them, only murphy had any real game time and signing a left back when we needed a right back and not bringing a striker in during the summer hasnt helped.

2 a slow start, promoted teams often get off to a decent start but no goals in our first 3 games was a disaster, when 2 of those were newcastle and hudds who were both there for the taking

3 manga at right back, see 1, bamba getting injured was a blessing really. forcing warnock to play a square peg in a square hole

4 sala, absolutely heartbreaking and probably what sent us down, as we had no chance of getting another decent striker in and niasse has been a waste of space, and for all the shite being spouted today in retrospect would rather see healy have a run instead of wasting money on his wages.

5 the chelsea game, done by the lino and ref. piss poor

6 the burnley games, home we battered them and lost 2-0 away should of got at least 2 pens

and, lastly i hate the premier league anyway so bring on the championship, keep the faith :bluescarf:

Writing off a possible 36 points by telling every one that we couldn't possibly hope to beat any of the big 6 teams who were miles better than us in an attempt to dampen any expectations.

Trying to get the points needed to stay up from 26 games instead of 38 was always going to be a virtually impossible task.

That the team have come so close to managing it is a great credit to them but looks like it will ultimately be too much.
