You were on a loser there as they had a successful season and have a bigger Stadium! However us having the 11th biggest attendances in the Premier League shows the potential of our city if we can avoid relegation! If only we finished 11th in the table that really matters?
I also think that all Premier League Stadiums should hold a minimum of 30k so that teams like Bournemouth,Watford and Burnley didn’t spend all their money on players?

West Ham: Newham council says the average attendance at West Ham was 42,779 based on the 12 games it attended - which is 12,530 fans fewer than the club's season average figure of 55,309.

The worst offenders in the PL for fake attendance stats. And that was last year, bet it's worse this season with the dross they serve up.

I'm not that stupid. Did you not read 'West Ham are the worst offenders' at nearly 20 percent of their capacity!!

Wolves are planning to expand their stadium next season. Wonder if we would be considering it if Prem football was sustained through 2020.

I understand the reasoning behind what you're saying, however, small-ish towns like Bournemouth would play in front of half-empty stadiums or, at best, stadiums where the away support would make up nearly half the attendance.
It would also lead to scenarios whereby a team that wins promotion from the Championship could be denied their rightful place in the Premier League because there's no chance of them meeting that 30k capacity any time soon.. Brentford would be a prime example.

It is exactly what it claims...

You do realise there is only 19 home games in a season? A sample of 12 in a population of 19 is more than adequate for accuracy!

I thought the article was very good. And does paint the picture of how it is, Like you you say, At every club. I'm not disagreeing with that.

But we certainly don't lose 20 percent of our capacity each week! My point is that is very poor from West Ham!!!

im not sure we would come out of this smelling of roses if included ...personally I visited the Olympic stadium { hated it } for our game this season and yes there were quite a few biggish spaces.. but it was not as bad as the Emirates { which is not covered in that snapshot}which was also my experience going to Arsenal last time we were in the prem..
clubs count tickets sold and if you and I stump up for STs then don't bother going what can they do ?

in the case of WHU their 1st season in there the cheapest STs were £249 which helped { I know a bloke that bought one who supports Cardiff but works in London quite a bit }

Other Leagues insist on minimum seating for promotion, Penybont have to increase their Grandstand to seat 1000 to get into the Welsh Premier League!
