Not the worst result, important thing was to avoid a battering.

Bruno Manga by a absolute mile.
Without him it would have been 6-0
Mendez was very good first half but faded.

Sean Morrison for me...
A colossus again and improved as the season has gone on

I thought he had one of his poorer games today.
Caught out of position a few times
Caught in possession of the ball twice, the second led to the penalty.
Stupidly gave the penalty away
Missed a sitter to equalise
Hes been great recently but today I thought he struggled

NML for his first half display.

same here.
the miss of the season 1 end then that complete mess { 3 back to back mistakes }the other end. been playing really well but not today.
every confidence in him bouncing back and having 3 back to back MOM performances

Can't see Bruno being with us next season with performances like that.
Thought Gunnars and Niasse were well off pace, Major rebuild next year, which may be a good thing.

I’m a big fan of Morrison but I have to agree with you on today’s performance.
Manga for me.

Morrison was OK but made mistakes.
Manga was excellent, throughout.
Although NML was the only one who looked like getting us anything.

Bruno by a country mile.

That sitter he missed would have been disallowed the ref told him gunnars was fouling the keeper ffs

Was a good match from start to finish, never going to stop that 1st goal, the 2nd was a poor decision from the ref, him and his team had a poor afternoon, the lineman grandstand side was well off the match pace and called us off a few times in the 1st half when we were clearly on side.
As for MOTM, we’ll thats tough one today, NML ran the wing really well, pressed Alexander-Arnold all match and found numerous opening, Joe Bennet, Lee Peltier and Bruno Manga all had Salah in their pockets for 90% of his attacks, Sean was let down by the refs decision. Camarasa looked annoyed at times, can’t blame him with the decisions going against him, how many more times did he need to be fouled to win a free kick...
Niase fell foul of the offside from the incompetent linesman too many times, Joe Ralls was having a good game until his Hamstring went chasing back. Gunners held his own in midfield and made it awkward for them when attacking and Jnr put in a decent shift too. Etheridge was solid throughout and made some really important saves to keep us in the game, his kicking seriously needs to improve though.
Even Ken got us all off our seats when he came on with some of his runs.
There wasn’t a bad shift from anybody today, we got done by a crap ref’s team and a team currently on course to win the league.
After saying all that think it’s got to be NML for his movement going forward providing us with plenty of attacking opportunities.

NML today

How on earth is NML not walking this had Trent in his pocket all game if we had midfield runners he could have set up a load of goals today.
bruno second choice but a long way behind NML. Nobody else was that great TBH.

I disagree with the first part of your post. - Why is it that whenever we have a player who plays well for us, we always say.. "
Can't see him being with us next season"?

Manga had an excellent game for us yesterday, but he hasn't displayed that kind of quality often enough this season. I'd give him an overall rating of 6 for this season as it stands, he hasn't even been touted as a possible Player Of The Year (Etheridge defintely ahead of Manga, Morrison possibly too).
I do agree with your assesment of Gunnarsson though, he was pretty anonymous, and when he did get possession he gave it up cheaply with some poor passes or by simply being dispossessed.

What do you expect when he was played out of position most of the season? He has done brilliantly under the circumstances and I would not be surprised to see him leave, maybe even stay in the Premier League.

Bruno Manga

Mendez-Laing for me, he was our only attacking threat at times and ran Trent Alexander-Arnold ragged. Thought Manga had a good game even though his passing can be questionable at times. And Peltier had Salah in his pocket all game and didn't see him beat him once. Only players I thought were poor were Gunnarsson who was terrible imo, gave the ball away constantly and got one two'd all game. Thought Niasse was crap again as well. Didn't hold the ball up and his legs were to quick for his brain again.
