A forum for all things Cardiff City

After the awful performance of the referee away at Burnley - and the defeat that followed as a result - the highlight of the day was my pie.
I opted for a peppered steak which was one of three available options and must say was extremely happy with the generous offering of tasty filling that greeted me, thus making it my PIE OF THE SEASON so far.
Despite being cleverly named, the “Magpie” at Newcastle was by far the WORST and proved the theory that if it looks burnt, it’ll taste burnt.
Has anyone else got a best and/or worst pie from this seasons Premier League campaign, or even from your time supporting Cardiff City?

I paid 16 quid for 3 lukewarm cheeseburgers at Brighton on Tuesday.
In terms of pies, the ones at Mansfield used to be decent back in the day but the best food iv ever had at the football was a hotdog at Griffin Park the days loads didn't get in, it was so good I had two.

Fair do’s, I was going to give the best pie award to Mansfield too! Funny how you remember little things like that.
Or the away end at Cambridge, in the corner at the allotment end, where they served real chips from the chip pan. Bloody long way to go for a bag of chips mind!

Have to disagree sorry.
Had a Holland's pie at Burnley last week -"meat" and potato. Asked the girl who was serving what "meat" was in the meat and potato pie and she had no idea. After one mouthful I could have told her that it was probably dog or horse.
Wait till Fulham away if you want to sample the best pie - the Craven Cottage pie - an actual mini cottage pie with a mashed potato topping rather than a pastry crust. One of the best pies around

Big fan of the chicken curry pies down the City

In terms of away days the peppered steak at Burnley was top notch, as was the chicken balti at Wolves.
Non ground though for me is chicken balti at Solihull Moors, stooped there on the way to Brum last season I got two of them

The Chicken Balti at Wolves was pretty epic as well. By the sounds of things, I didn’t miss much at Brighton and need to get to Mansfield in the future. I’ve never had a pie at the CCS as I normally get a Costco - which is closed for Easter, forcing me to drink in the Canton area prior to kick off - Cottage Pie which sounds similar to what’s on sale at Fulham.

Worst has to be the "pie of the day" I had at Chelsea this year. Chicken and chorizo or something like that (followed by the pie I had at Chelsea the previous time I went there). Disgusting. How they have got the nerve to search you for offensive weapons on the way in and then let you take these to your seats. If one had been thrown on the pitch and it hit a player it could have killed him.
Best pie always seemed to be in the lower leagues. Nothing fancy.

Chicken Balti pie at Wolves was a real treat.

As a sequel to the highly successful “Pies of the Premier League” thread, the much anticipated and aptly named “Best Burger Vans of the Championship” debate has been postponed for a couple of seasons at least as the Bluebirds are staying up.

Had a lovely pie at Walsall. Off topic a litle, the chippy opposite Spotlands in Rochdale was awesome for fish and chips.
