Victor Camarasa

Personally think Camarasa has been a joy to watch this season and seems to have everything in his game to make it in a top half prem team imo. But was wondering if you guys think he's the best ever player to put on a city shirt, or is there someone better and if so who? Also have to take in to account the league we're in.

We’ve had some great players in the past albeit in lower divisions.
The only one that I’d say would come close would be Ramsay and he wasn’t as good as Victor when he left us.

It depends - some have been fantastic with us but rubbish with other clubs (i.e. Joe Mason and Jay Bothroyd). Also, it depends on the type of quality you're thinking of because I thought Hudson showed the best leadership characteristics I've seen in a Cardiff shirt whereas Whittingham had the best left foot. There are also players who showed some promise for us in some games but didn't fulfil said promise until going elsewhere, such as Medel and Ramsey.

Because of this, I couldn't put my finger on a single player but I certainly would put Camarasa up there with the best.

Camarasa has all the attributes to make a top 6 team, isn't surprising as Betis have some quality players at their disposal, if we stay up I'd love us to sign Sergio Caneles :bluescarf:

Ian Gibson ans Peter King were excellent players and would have been even better today with no tackling from behind. I'd love a midfield of:

King, Camarasa, Gibson & Anderson.

In the last Decade Camarasa and Gary Medel are streets ahead of anything else we have had in our squad.

Ramsey and Bellamy were quality players but neither played for us in there prime, Robbie Fowler and Hasselbaink likewise.

Class is hard to come by for clubs our size and we are lucky to be able to watch a player like Camarasa pull on our shirt.

He will be at a top 8 club next season if he stays in Britain

Most technically gifted player ever to play for Cardiff is Camarasa. All 60s 70s and 80s players were rubbish that includes George Best.

Class and not on the wane. I'd agree medel was right up there too. But Victor is a different sort of class. Effortless and fantastic to see.

Really? Am I missing something here? He's decent and gives us something different from our other players but so did Bellamy,Koumas, Whitts,Earnie, Bothroydd, Anderson, Legg, Charles , Bennett brothers ,Chopra, Alston, Buchanon etc to name a few plus all our great captains and defenders over the years .

Toshack was class and unlike Arron Ramsey played a lot of games for us 162 games 74 goals before going on to play at the highest level winning 3 titles at Liverpool .
my father you to say Gerry Hitchens who went on to play at Villa, Inter, Torino and represented England in the 62 world cup was better .
and Medel , other than those not really , lots of players i loved watching at various levels but none i can think of who achieved any more than being good 2nd/3rd tier players for ourselves.
