Neil Warnock:Our Wage Bill is BELOW Liverpool's Agents Fees

Tue Apr 16, 2019 10:04 am

NEIL WARNOCK:

'Players couldn't give much more'

Does Vincent Tan still believes?

Warnock: “I’ve no idea. I’ve not heard anything from him or Mehmet [Dalman].

“I don’t think the lads could have given me much more this season. We’ve lacked a bit of quality, but when you compare the wage bills. We’re playing Liverpool on Saturday and our wage bill is £12m below their agents’ fees.

“But we’re looking forward to all the games coming up.”

Liverpool paid over £40m in agents fees in 2018.

I have seen Cardiff's 2018-19 wage bill (1st Team Squad) reported as under £27m. Not sure if that is accurate.

Glad you changed the title Annis - it previously said our wage bill was only £12m.

The Neil Warnock comments are still very inaccurate though as Liverpool`s agent fees for the year to 31 January 2019 came to just over £43m , so he is suggesting CCFC`s wage bill is only £31m. The actual wage bill in the year to 31 May 2018 was over £48m and has gone up considerably since then for the current season.

I believe it is far from accurate.

For example , they reported a total player wage bill of £9.7m for season 2017/18 when the actual figure was £31.2m in the published audited accounts.
