'You can’t blame people because it’s not one decision or two decisions' - Arter

Cardiff City’s Harry Arter says officiating can’t be blamed for the position the club find themselves in with the relegation survival battle.

The on-loan Bournemouth player, whose parent club thrashed Brighton 5-0 at the weekend, told The Telegraph:

HARRY ARTER:

“You can’t blame people because it’s not one decision or two decisions.

“The reason we’re in this position is that over the course of the season we haven’t been good enough at times.

“Everyone talks about VAR and the introduction of that is probably what the Premier League needs.

“I think everyone is a little bit baffled at the minute by what the rules are because I certainly am.

“I think VAR is probably what everyone needs. As much as people say it delays the game, the game was delayed today and I still don’t know if it was the right decision.

“I honestly don’t have a clue anymore what is deemed handball and what isn’t and that would just clear it up from next year.

“Hopefully with VAR, everything will be black and white from next season and there will no contentious decisions.”
