Neil Warnock has been charged with three breaches of FA Rule E3.
Friday 12th April 2019
It is alleged that comments he made in a post-match interview with the BBC, and a post-match interview with Sky Sports, following the Premier League game against Chelsea on 31 March 2019, were improper in that they questioned the integrity of the Match Official and/or implied bias. It is further alleged that comments he made in a TalkSport Radio interview on 01 April 2019 constitute improper conduct and/or bring the game into disrepute.
The Cardiff City manager has until 18:00 on 16 April 2019 to provide a response.
The FA said in a statement: "Neil Warnock has been charged with three breaches of FA Rule E3.

The referee and assistant WERE incompetent. The decisions WERE bizarre to the point the referee needs to explain himself. How can they charge NW yet they say nothing about the referee?! He should be sacked.
Hopefully it's a box ticking exercise so the FA aren't having double standards. And then in the hearing it'll be the lowest sanction.

That's the most laughable thing I've read in a while.
Don't give reasons to question the integrity of the officials, they're the ones bringing the game into disrepute
Fri Apr 12, 2019 10:54 am
And it's taken them two weeks to decide this? Waiting until the day before a huge game. They are a joke.

Not unexpected but its massively frustrating that Warnock has to do interviews after games and is asked his opinion yet the official who were the issue don't get any kind of punishment.

If I was NW I would look for comparable incidents involving the top 6 clubs. KZ being pulled down , by the last man SM being fouled in the penalty box (twice) and the blatant offside not given.
If they had happened against any of the top 6.
It would have resulted in a sending off,two penalties and no goal.
The FA shouldn't be charging Warnock for telling the truth that could cost Cardiff 100's of millions . They should be charging the officials in that game with incompetence.

They'll probably fine and censure him for the
'hurt' he caused the officials who may have helped
'hurt' his efforts to keep Cardiff City FC in the Premier League through their incompetence rather than his own
A few £k for their Xmas coffers versus a (potential as it stands) loss of £100m's for the club going forward
I wonder who should be more offended?

I think he will enjoy stating his side of the story and at 70 he does not need to worry too much.
Feck um neil

That's just shows you what's wrong with the game. You speak the truth and get charged. You can be partial and get away with it. The game is corrupt.

The only thing NW has to worry about is the size of the fine because he has to pay his missus the exact same amount. Perhaps we should have a whip round to help him pay the lovely Sharon
The idiot assistant who missed the offside, eddie smart, doesn't have a game this weekend Graig Pawson on the other hand does have a game and I feel sorry for Watford because they are playing Arsenal so they will be lucky to be given a corner with him in charge.

FA announce Warnock faces three charges for questioning referee Craig Pawson's integrity
Cardiff City boss Neil Warnock has been charged by the FA following his post-match rant at referee Craig Pawson after the Bluebirds' defeat to Chelsea.
The FA announced on Friday morning they were charging Warnock with three breaches of their rules, saying he had questioned the integrity of Pawson and implied he was biased towards Chelsea.
Warnock hit out at the match officials after Cesar Azpilicueta's equaliser was permitted to stand when he was clearly offside, while Pawson chose not to red card Antonio Rudiger hauling down Kenneth Zohore as last defender.
The Bluebirds boss was also furious two Sean Morrison penalty appeals were turned down.
Cardiff lost the game 2-1 at the end, when appearing to be on course for a crucial victory in their fight to avoid relegation from the Premier League.
The FA said in a statement: "Neil Warnock has been charged with three breaches of FA Rule E3.
"It is alleged that comments he made in a post-match interview with the BBC, and a post-match interview with Sky Sports, following the Premier League game against Chelsea on 31 March 2019, were improper in that they questioned the integrity of the match official and/or implied bias.
"It is further alleged that comments he made in a TalkSport Radio interview on April 1 constitute improper conduct and/or bring the game into disrepute."
That TalkSPORT FA concern is thought to centre around Warnock saying his wife Sharon would have forgiven him for punching Pawson.
The head of the referees' union Propsect hit out after Warnock's comments, saying any suggestion of violence towards officials is unacceptable.
Warnock and the Bluebirds have until April 16 to respond, but he could face a hefty fine and potentially a touchline ban.
Warnock was involved in a stare down with Pawson and his linesmen in the centre circle when the final whistle had blown.
Many Cardiff fans were furious at Pawson's handling of the game and the supporters chanted 'You're not fit to referee' as the action unfolded.

The referee and linesman both apologised that for me says no charges should be brought against Warnock

Don't really think the timing will affect anything tomorrow to be honest.

If was him send a reply full of ??? And nothing else! Treat them with the contempt they deserve... At his time in life it wont bother him a fine.

Hopefully not but I would rather everything was focussed on the game rather than this pointless charge. Don't understand why it takes so long to charge someone when it happened two weeks ago. Just dragging that shambles of a game on and on.

Won’t surprise me if he gets a touchline ban.
He was warned earlier in the season, and the FA mention two occasions where he criticised the match officials in this match.

NW should be given a lifetime achievement award by the FA, and a medal for pointing out the incompetence of their staff!
Ref and linesman both apologised to NW - I feel the FA should do the same. Tell them to "do one" Neil.

At the end of the day, even though I agree with Warnock. There are procedures in place to deal with his grievances against the officials. You cant just spout your mouth off on TV and expect the fa not to respond.
If he had went through the proper channels and been professional this issue would not exist.
Probably harder than it sounds with all the emotion after a game but its reality
Sat Apr 13, 2019 10:09 am
You can say that but it's not true; other clubs/managers (and none more than Jose Mourinho) have been 'charged' by the authorities for stuff they've said/done, so it's not just Neil Warnock and/or Cardiff City
Some of the stuff they 'go after' and some they don't is certainly questionable though

I wonder if Warnock will go to the hearing and just stare at the panel, saying nothing!
