Very sad. I thought he was very honest in his reporting of city’s games added with a bit of wit.he wrote some hilarious articles in the echo about different parts of Cardiff he visited called Tucker’s Travels. Think he was about 40 years old ?

Met him a couple of times and he was a really good laugh. Last time was in the services on the way to the 2012 League Cup Final. My best memory of him was when he was banned from a fans meeting with the Riddler but he somehow sneaked in! 53 is far to young RIP.

Very sad news. A witty guy. Too many around my age passing away!
Just been reading a funny piece he wrote last year about how uncool it is to be called Steve these days compared with back in the 70s and 80s! RIP big man.

Wow......that news has shaken me a bit.......in his 50's for christ sake.

I didn't always agree with his articles but at least he had the balls to stand up and say it as he saw it.

RIP Steve, condolances to all your family and friends.

Terrible terrible news.

Didn’t always agree with what I wrote, but as said above he really was one of us and one of the good guys - lucky enough to meet him.

RIP and thoughts go out to his close ones.

Bloody hell, didn't always agree with him but suppose that's the sign of a good reporter,, saying as it is rather than what people want to hear.

Really sad news and my condolences go to his family.

I rarely agreed with the style in which he reported news regarding the club whilst working for Walesonline because he was the perfect example of a Journalist who never let the facts get in the way of a good headline. Will Ken Choo ever forget the manner in which ST had him over with the "Russell Slade Was A Failure" following an off record chat at Awards Evening, nothing about who won what awards just Ken Choo being naive around a journalist who prayed on that naivety.

But put all that to one side and ST was a journalist who had a natural aptitude for using words and ideas in a quick and inventive way to create humour. I can remember many articles he wrote that had me laughing out loud at his inventiveness, insight and good old common sense.

I recall his article putting forward Craig Noone for an England call up and how he couldn't understand how Roy Hodgson could pick Raheen Sterling, Alex Oxlaide- Chamberlain and Wilfred Zaha ahead of him. :o So much for the common sense claim

But that was Steve Tucker who I believe was so much better than the journalist we all saw reporting on Cardiff City.

R.I.P Steve .

RIP Tucker! Used to enjoy reading about his take on things. He always had time for a chat about the City when he was enjoying a few drinks.
I thought he lost a lot of weight after getting into running years ago and had stayed pretty healthy. More recently used to see him in and around Llandaff.
Very sad to hear of his passing.
