ON THIS DAY - In 2009, Eddie Johnson scored the last Cardiff City FC goal under the Ninian Park floodlights, before putting the ball into his own net in a 4-1 over @dcfcofficial #Bluebirds

I remember that day (a 4-1 win over Derby County) :ayatollah:

Eddie came to us on a season long loan from FC of Fulham and scored two goals in a generally underwhelming period

An oddity of Cardiff City supporters is their age-old tendency to back a lame but willing horse particularly up front; although I do recall he did have at least one MotM awards

Eddie was certainly amongst those who like Ronnie Moore (and others) before him, couldn't be called a 'success' but his character and effort made him an unwitting hero amongst the Bluebird support as they willed him on :D

He was epitome of a working class hero at the club. Quality isn't everything. All we wanted/want was to watch players work hard and he was everything we wanted

I was at this game, top row of the Bob Bank, I think it was a freebie from Bet365?

Eddie was loved by the City fans, of that there was no doubt.

The delirium in the Grange after he got his first goal is something that will be one of my best memories.
