Agree with the OP’s comments but also have to agree with that.

Many on here were saying that Deeney wouldn’t be a good signing. He’s been brilliant for Watford again this season and would have kept us up.

But as you say, he was never in a million years going to sign for us.

Wasn't his wages 100k+ a week? ,we were pushing the boat out for Emiliano at 40k,as said,was never going to happen,have to say,he could have been the difference, but he may well have not been,especially as we have been in a battle to avoid the drop,since day one.
