They were face to face because walker put his face in. Red card no question the refs bottled it.

But VAR reviewed it and declared it a ‘no red card’ which came up on the screen as I recall so they could have sent him off.

So why didn't Var give it After all they had super slow motion to look at? Guess matter of opinion ! Take tonight var gave handball but all 4 experts say not but var says yes.... and theres me thinking it was supposed to cut out mistakes looks like same as refs to me !

VAR gave it because by the letter of the laws it was a penalty offence. The studio referee explained this.
The experts said it wasn’t a penalty purely on common sense and their experience.
I agree with Rio but the law is the law and in my opinion needs to be changed and clarified.
