Love Niasse, but it's time for Zohore

Wed Apr 03, 2019 5:26 pm

I think Niasse has sparked some life in our attack, but I think the last 2 games he should start scoring by now. Especially the West Ham chances that to be fair he made for himself. However, the performance wasn't quite there against Chelsea although the effort was.

Think it's time to give Zohore a go now. Think Niasse could've done alot better Sunday and I think we wouldn't have relied on that single goal had Zohore started. I would keep the same team other than that though, depending on fitness.

Don't think Ken would have won us the game today, but he sure as hell would have done better than Niasse did with that 2 on 1 scenario with Mendez-Laing

Not sure which one would serve us best. Everyone convinced Niasse is never going to score, but replacing him with a player who averages around 3 goals per year since turning pro may be just as risky. Just a shame Sala never had an opportunity, he may have been the answer to our problem.

Zohore doesn't make bad decisions though, wether he scores or not. I think Kens hold up play is better than Niasses's, I think Kens Shooting is evidently better than Niasse, I think Kens aeiral ability is MUCH better than Niasse, and Zohore's decision making is 5x better than Niasse.

Don't get me wrong, Niasse's spirited runs where he beats his man is exciting, but it's nothing Zohore doesn't do, Ken just makes it look more effortless as he's faster and stronger and doesn't make it look close.

Not sure about Ken's aerial ability being much better, he hardly ever wins a header, and when he does it seems to go all over the place.

Wether some things are up for debate, a few things are for certain and that's Kens Hold up Play, better decision making, shooting and Passing too.

The only thing that's up for debate is his heading, but from what I've seen of Niasse, yes, Kens is better in the air too.

his first touch is very poor for any player at this level , possibly worse than Peltiers and I never thought id find myself thinking that...he has no football brain, zero and has displayed that here numerous times..

he defo brings something to the party but being a better footballer aint it..

Relegation due to lack of a goalscorer.
