IF We Get Relegated WE MUST ........

Wed Apr 03, 2019 1:56 pm

Keep Neil Warnock I know he might have other ideas but the club must keep him at all costs, because he has recreated and united the whole club in recent years/seasons and created wonderful memories along the way. PLUS he is the only manager who understands the club throughout with all the fans to the Owner.

So it's vital that we keep him because let's be fair he is the only 1 that could take us back up, and then we can have the talk whether he stays or goes after another promotion push back in the Premier League.

Warnock Has To Remain As Cardiff Manager, No Matter What. :ayatollah:

What you guys think.

I'd love him to stay but at the end of the day its up to him, he's 70 so will probably be looking to retire

Id like him to stay next season and hope he does but he's 70 now and its his choice. If he feels tired and fatigued and doesn't really have the passion to carry on then he should retire for himself and the good of the club, but if he still has that passion for management and wants to carry on the club should keep him for next season. Hopefully the club has got an idea of who they want if/when Warnock does decide to retire and not be completely unprepared. But hey, when has Cardiff ever planned anything long term

I think he and the club both need to review the season and make a decision on best way forward and decide.

things can change quickly in football but going on a number of things he has said of late I don't see him going anywhere.

or do I see this season {even if relegated } as under achieving in anyway.

Neil Warnock already has a contract for next season, so it is ultimately up to him  :ayatollah:

who in this mad world of football really has a plan...
he is under contract for next season which is about as far ahead as any club can realistically look..
I must have read a hundred times that this or that club had a 5 year plan...what they all had in common was they had a different 5 year plan 6 months later..

Plans are usually when new manager appointed and true the plans go out window if results dont go right, but we are talking of having an idea what way club goes forward once he decides to go or are you suggesting wait untill he goes and say ok who's available? After all he's only got next season left :old:

This is correct.
You have to have a plan with regards of players in/out and a hundred other things.

I think Warnock will honour his contract for another year as I think he still has the passion and drive that both he and the club need.
Saying that, I believe this season with the Sala tragedy and the ‘toughest season of his life’ has taken a toll.

im not suggesting...im being realistic.
football changes as results change or objectives are not met...managers get sacked or resign and very rarely has a club got a replacement lined up for any length of time because quite simply anyone worth having aint sitting at home watching old people TV for years waiting for the call.
its constant change and often knee jerk reactions at all clubs even the super clubs..eg Man Utd this season...they did not start the season with a plan to sack Jose...and doubt that Ole was ever seen more than a temp...so what happened to their long term preplacement for Jose..? he is still at Spurs and might never get offered the job properly..
long term plans...
