The offside goal / our players

Very little complaining and arguing with the officials from our team especially Manga and Etheridge who had Birdseye views. They should have been like banshee’s around them.

Don’t blame them for what?
Once that goal was given they should be all over the ref and the linesman, remember the pen that was given earlier on in the season and then not, there and then is the only time that goal could have been not given.
I don’t blame the players for the actual play but for me they were a bit timid in arguing the toss.

players are following the ball and the action and more often than not a player will not see a team mate behind them playing people onside..its the officials job to take up positions where they have an overview.

seen players arguing the toss while being totally unaware how wrong they were loads of times only to see replays and realise the ref/lino was correct. so I assume some have realised this ?.i don't think arguing would have worked either.

The goal would have stood whatever our players did, and the only thing that may have changed was one or more of our players may have ended up getting a yellow card.

I’ve been impressed with our players, in dealing with referees and linesman. Very rarely do they surround the officials and SM tends to go the referee for some sort of clarification. I wonder if NW demands this or whether the players do it of their own accord.

Your right it was never getting over turned. However I agree with the opening poster we should have gone nuts leaving the referee in no doubt there's been a huge injustice. Roll forward 5 minutes and the referee is considering the sending off / not sending off, with this at the back of his mind he possibly comes up with a different decision. They say it never influences them but of course it does, its human nature.
