A POSITIVE opinion on our last 7 games

Tue Apr 02, 2019 6:23 am

As it stands with us and Burnley we're 5 points behind with 7 games left for us and 6 games for them. With us still to play eachother.

Arguably to avoid relegation we must win at Turf Moor so in an optimistic view we can say we are 2 points behind them with a game in hand. Their run of 5 games, not including us, is significantly harder than ours I'd say.

Bournemouth/Chelsea/Everton - AWAY
Man City/Arsenal - HOME

Compared to our run in:

Man City/Brighton/Fulham/Man Utd - AWAY
Liverpool/Crystal Palace - HOME

From our games assuming we must beat Burnley we need to either get 3 more points than them or 2 more points and overturn a 9 goal GD. A 9 goal swing might not be as far fetched as it sounds given the fixtures.

Keep the faith everyone :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree, but don't forget Brighton there run in is pretty tough plus they have an FA Cup semi to cope with. They have:

Chelsea (A)
Bounemouth (H)
Cardiff (H)
Wolves (A)
Spurs (A)
Newcastle (H)
Arsenal (A)
Man City (A)

That's a tall order and if they don't get points against us or Bournemouth it's going to be really tough for them.

I've thought since Christmas that draws at Brighton and Burnley backed up by wins against Fulham and Palace would do it (taking us to 36 points).

However, with the way the results have gone I think a win at either Brighton or Burnley will be needed now, a win at both and we're really in business !

Fair enough I hadn't even considered Brighton when I saw they had 2 games in hand over Burnley and 1 over us. It's not all soon and gloom yet :ayatollah:
