Cardiff City: Chelsea defeat was 'soul destroying' says Warnock

Cardiff are battling hard at the bottom of the Premier League as they seek to avoid following Huddersfield back down to the Championship.

And they looked set for a stunning win over Chelsea at the weekend after Victor Camerasa’s impressive strike had given them a lead.

All of Cardiff’s resilient defensive work came to nothing though, as Cesar Azpilicueta and Ruben Loftus-Cheek struck for Chelsea.

Azpilicueta’s header incensed Warnock because he was offside when the ball was flicked on at the near post.

The Cardiff boss fumed on the touchline for the remained of the game after the Spaniard’s 84th-minute goal.

And he walked on to the pitch at full-time to make his anger known to referee Pawson and the rest of the officials.

Warnock could have faced the same fate as Mauricio Pochettino, who was slapped with a touchline ban having squared up to Mike Dean following Tottenham’s defeat to Burnley in March.

The FA, however, have decided not to take any action specifically relating to Warnock confronting Pawson and his team.

Warnock is not out of the woods though, with the FA yet to make an announcement regarding his post-match comments.

The veteran gaffer implied the Premier League’s biggest clubs benefit from the supposed bias of referees and their assistants.

"The biggest and best league in the world but probably the worst officials at the minute," Warnock said.

"What can I say about my lads? They were brilliant and it made for a great game.

"It kicks you in the teeth. We've had enough of them this year.

"I am deflated because we have worked hard for this game and felt we could win it.

"Against the big teams, you have to have VAR because you don't get the big decisions.

"The equalising goal is the winning goal really, and if you can't see across the line and see offside I don't know why we are in the game."

Im sorry but I have no sympathy with the FA over this one. The technology is there they just decided not to use it this season.

Couple that with officials who are paid vast amounts of money to get "significant" issues correct.

I mean everyone makes mistakes. Our Players. Everyone. But that has to be one of the most blatant offsides Ive seen in the last 10 years. It wasn't even close - yet 2 officials missed it.

The potential red card. Well many would have given it. Maybe the referee thought one of the other defenders would have caught him.

So just as referees are happy to receive the praise when they have a good game equally they deserve the criticism when they have a shocker and Sunday was a shocker for the Officials.

He isnt being charged over what he did. Could still be charged over what he said.

Could/ should have been a huge couple of points needed this week against two of the top clubs. A big blow but were still in it!

If he's charged the ref should be too.

All officials involved should be made to apologise publicly
Its wasnt a bad decision it was sheer bullshit shit being able to clearly see the offside and failing to do his job

Watched the fouls again sheer lack of the rules !!!

One of the reasons he isn't being charged,is that it would open a can of worms. How incompetent the officials were in that game. So in the eyes of the FA it's best to say nothing,and it will all go away and be forgotten about.
