Corrupt league

Sun Mar 31, 2019 3:14 pm

The premier league is corrupt full of dodgey corrupt referees. Blatant penalties denied massively offside goal blatant red card it’s a joke I seriously can’t wait to be back in the championship. People saying we threw the game away really ? We had the game robbed off ya and blatantly as well. Unless your a big team you are goosed

It was evident the last time we were in this league as well.

Couldn't agree more. Worse than the fkg politicians.
At least in the Championship they're usually sh#t for both sides :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:

Your use of previously unfashionable Leicester City sort of disproves the point you're trying to make

Corrupt money? Corrupt referees? Shut League? :?

The only thing that's corrupt is your thinking, if genuine ;)

No doubt there's lots of corruption, Serie A has had it exposed but PL hasn't.

PL has the money and power to cover it up for now. It will come out at some point, but at what scale I don't know

Leicester's season was incredible, but stands out as a one-off. Teams have to at least be good enough to benefit from dodgy decisions but that season was unusual in that most of the big clubs were in a period of transition or just generally poor.

It was so blatantly obvious that the officials were incompetent, or were they just cheating .

The referees are biased towards players they know well (after refereeing for years) and respect due to reputation.

That's why the bigger clubs always get the majority of the decisions, plus the player's Managers and coaching staff are very skilled at getting into the referees and officials heads.

You see the players suck up to the refs at the end of the games shake their hands have a little chat and a joke, they are friends in some cases, the smaller club comes into this league with a disadvantage, they don't get their fair share of decisions, and possibly because we are not fashionable and have a Manager with a reputation for strong tactics and being outspoken we get even less than most!!!

If you like someone and there is a fifty-fifty, you can't help giving it to your mate !!!

Not consciously, I don't...

I don't doubt the integrity of PL officials on the whole and for others to do so is often simple buck passing or deflection. They may be unconsciously bias on occasion but aber blue's assumption of blatant corruption is well wide of the mark

Why would any official 'cheat in favour' with so many cameras around?

It would soon become apparent :ayatollah: and they would be annihilated (metaphorically)

If you want to talk about 'referee bias', ask the more long-serving members on here about a certain referee from Gloucestershire in the 70's and 80's called Brian Stevens. Players and supporters would be crestfallen when his name was announced and I'm not sure we ever won a game with him in charge!

Ironically, he has only recently retired from officiating at the ripe old age of 76 years and 3,003 games! :ayatollah:

im not too bothered about whether is subconsciously. . but is it there..i think it is..
and it is 100% financially important to the FA/PL for the majority { if not all } of the top 6 to be doing well as that's where the TV interest is.

those were not the first pens SM shoul have had this season but you got more chance of finding a rocking horse pooh than a ref blowing for 1.
as for the duracel posters....lol...the ones who are genuine i probably know personally but there are plenty who claim things and then inadvertently leave the cat out of the bag

This is the main reason I have not been this season nor last time we were in premier League. f*cking hate it and everything it stands for... Grotesque wages./Refs who think that the game is all about them./Foreign players stopping British lads coming through./ British managers not given a chance./ Manager roundabout. Hate it just hate it.

Rant over !! Ahhh that's better. :ayatollah: :old:

its money driven with BILLIONS in TV rights much of it from foreign markets where the audience only really care about half a dozen clubs.. a club like Leicester winning it or even pushing is fine for novelty value and to a degree adds credibility to the division but the long and short of it is viewing figures drop significantly if the Utds and Liverpools are struggling ,which makes the package less attractive and lucrative.

its about as far removed as it gets from some wurzels dislike of our club or the Welsh.

the money might never ever be spoken about { as regards a conspiracy } but never the less its there spoken or unspoken...as for refs, they earn 60/70k a year..its not huge in football terms but wouldnt be anywhere near those amounts without these billions of TVpounds..

i believe the huge amounts of money makes the whole inviroment unhealthy

My mate is a Man City fan and he thinks they won't be allowed to win the CL as Man City are not considered one of the big four of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool & Man U.

Even within the top six clubs Spurs & City get less favourable treatment than the likes of Liverpool & Man U.

I do not disagree. I read an article a couple of years back about viewing figures dropping massively in the far east because Utd were not having a very good season { or as good as their far east fans expected }..
