They have probably been advised by the police not to sell alcohol, as unless it was stipulated in their licence when Asda was first opened, which I think highly unlikely, it is not against the law to sell alcohol on a Sunday, but the hours that they can sell it are restricted

Suspect there is a sub clause in licensing that can be activated if need be its been done for other events.....

tesco have full restrictions police & council were out thursday giving there orders id imagine every offie cornershop or whatever in area has been told aswell

clearly police inteligence have figured out these people buy their booze the previous Sunday so should be comended for their efforts.
