Cardiff City Forum

A forum for all things Cardiff City

It's like the ticket office on here!

Fri Mar 29, 2019 11:00 pm

I've never seen so many threads about tickets for sale, tickets wanted etc etc. Counted about 18 on the first page alone. :o

Perhaps there could be a section of the forum just devoted to people selling and looking for tickets?

It can probably close down again next season if we get relegated.

Good point :thumbright:

I’ll put it to Annis tomorrow if he hasn’t seen this topic by then.

there are quite a few arnt there, its a combination of our nxt 2 home games having been sellouts for a while { which is unusual }.
the club selling 4 away games at the same time { also unusual } and STs going on sale last week.

with all that going on your also going to get 3 or 4 times as many threads about tickets..?

Perhaps may be a good idea to merge a few of the topics.

Question is why so many for sale? Didn't happen earlier in season are they more desirable now so more likely to sell as looking at it games mentioned are sold out.
Also with some its same poster advertising

Allan, nothing unusual in the end of season bandwagon jumpers at the CCS and I've had many "Can you get tickets for...?" requests from fair-weather friends over the last few weeks. It seems some people feel a certain need to say "I was there" at selected games only

Many of us will recall the 'entitled' furore over tickets in the past when non-regular attendees realised they couldn't get tickets for so-called 'big' games over season ticket holders and 'bona fide' members

It's always toughie regarding the buying and selling of tickets, as this Forum cannot and should not act as an agency or be perceived as doing so

Equally, as hard as we try to weed out the fraudulent, buyers/sellers do so at their own risk, as we cannot always vet posts that claim to have tickets available or others that claim to be able to supply to those in need; particular those who sign up as new members solely to do so

The majority of tickets may be genuine, but it is for individuals to gauge their authenticity and whether they feel able to part with their cash, often in the 'hope' that the tickets materialise

If it could be done properly, I would welcome a separate Ticket Forum for sales up to face value where all tickets threads/posts could be put, but the Forum Shop has shown that many are too tired to put stuff on there and often feel that their wares are better advertised on the Main Forum itself, which is far more widely read

As for 'same poster', that has been noted :thumbright:

Got to be honest if my other half cant make it usually take daughter or bro in law but not adverse offering to anyone but not charge for it regardless of opposition. Selling on here is ok but as long as same name doesn't keeps cropping up

Same here. Wouldn't sell it, as I either give it to the guy next to me or, if he can't go, I'll take my partner :ayatollah:
