More Skirmishes outside Grangetown train station.
Part of Penarth road and Sloper Road closed off.
Skirmishes outside Macdonalds this morning in City Centre.
UPDATED:
Tesco’s & Asda in the surrounding areas of the Cardiff City stadium will not be selling alcohol.
CARDIFF CITY V CHELSEA
This morning Cardiff Police visited a number of the local pubs in the vicinity of the Cardiff City Stadium.
Sunday’s game has been upped from a Category B to Category C meaning trouble is very likely.. Changed last night due to intel received.
All the pubs around the area have had to increase their doormen, all have to have radios and some even body cameras.
Many pubs have been told plastic glasses for this game.
The police apparently said that Cardiff had upset Chelsea up there this season by taking over one of their pubs, that’s the first I have heard
I personally have heard of No trouble being planned and that any of the old Chelsea that are coming down are coming for the match and and a good old drink
Let’s keeo up the good name we now have on and off the pitch and let it be another great atmosphere, trouble free and a win for the Mighty Bluebirds

It will be exactly 35 years to the day on sunday that Chelsea brought the most organised mob ever seen at Ninian Park, they had 3 parts of the ground that day & a crowd of 10,000 must have included about 6,0000 Chelsea. Never been to a game before or since where you felt trapped from both sides, they certainly had a huge hooligan following at the time.

I was there that day, that’s what you call trouble and mayhem, police lost control.
I was in the Grandstand that day.

it was never a penalty - it hit Tong in the stomach. City were robbed of a 3-2 win.
Highlights of that game is on you tube - not the best quality.

I was in the bob bank and Chelsea were top of div 2 if I remember correctly and we were 3 nil up at half time and they came back to draw 3 all. Chelsea fans invaded the bob bank it was very lively. A bit chaotic to say the least.

Soz mate wasn’t having pop at you but think it’s either complete BS from them or they actually want the OB there or they are so thick that they think it will be a covert operation.

Jaws passed away years ago mate, don't know about Tonto, haven't seen him for a long time. Proper pair of loonies, a good laugh too, I remember being in Blackpool on a Saturday night in 1975 with them after we had played at Preston.

Was on the Bob that day.. chaotic all round.
Thing that sticks in my mind, the Chelsea train was on the Nin halt bridge, bricks flying up at it from the road. One Chelsea fan stuck his mug out the window, and wham! Down like sack of shit.. was almost as if they were meant for each other.
Watched it on YT a week or so back..looked a million years ago.

The last time we played Chelsea in the Premier League we were all out, loads of us in the Sports Bar during the game and Police come in and blocked the door, someone said Chelsea were outside and on their way, police got pushed out and there was a stand off with the police filming from accross the road, total set up.
I didn't do anything illegal but did go outside and worried for ages afterwards whether I would get fitted up with something.
Basicly kids, it really isn't worth it. Enjoy you're beers and enjoy the game without the anxiety and a pending jail sentence.

Think the old bill may need to worry about the DFLA form both clubs sticking together after today's disrespect from the people's vote , leave means leave.
Fri Mar 29, 2019 8:50 pm

Correct me if I’m wrong, but has there ever been trouble at the stadium in 10 years? I can’t recall any.

I think some of our 'Family Stand' kids have upset a few away fans in the corner of the Ninian now and then, which has resulted in grown (albeit immature) men trying to 'get at' 5-10 year olds...
Beyond that, nothing of note....
