I wouldn't be so sure. We have one of the top 3 richest owners in the country. In January, they released another £13 million of shares to fund some buying during that window. If Jack Grealish is sold, we will have £35 million minimum burning a hole in our back pocket.
Whatever division Villa are in next season (and Championship looks likely), there will be a massive overhaul with a minimum of 6 players coming in, regardless of who goes the other way.

Still think you will get 35 mill for Grealish?

I thought they came close to breaching the rules last year. They will make another heavy loss this year and even with the sale of Grealish I cant see how they would be in a position to spend heavily without breaching the rules. A share issue wont count because as I understand it this doesn't count as revenue. Otherwise the ffp rules would be pointless. In fact if they have used the 13 million to fund more players in the January window that makes the situation even worse with regard to FFP!

Hope not as I don't want to lose him. We will walk the Championship next season with him in the side.
However, £35 million is the buy out figure in his contract.

The championship is one hell of a hard league and very competitive, people never learn and keep saying "we'll walk it" then finish about 8th.

Probably not the brightest thing to have posted in hindsight. Yes, the Championship is a tough league and very competitive.
However, having a player in your team who is head and shoulders above anyone else in the division is a big advantage. Even more so when his appearance appears to galvanise the rest of the team. With Grealish in the side, the other 10 players all look top notch. When Grealish is out, they look like average, run of the mill Championship players.
I believe in Grealish and I believe in Villa getting promoted - If I didn't, it would be a waste of time kicking a ball wouldn't it?
