Nuno shares something that disappointed him about Wolves' win over Cardiff
More goals should of been scored against Cardiff.
Wolverhampton Wanderers made a whole host of changes against Cardiff City on Saturday.
Nuno Nuno Espirito Santo the head coach
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo spoke to reporters after his side's impressive 2-0 win against Cardiff City on Saturday, and shared what disappointed him about the performance of his team, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
The Black Country outfit bounced back well from their midweek defeat to Huddersfield Town, as Nuno made five changes to his team, dropping some of his key players including the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Matt Doherty.
Wolves now sit in seventh spot in the Premier League table, ahead of eighth placed Watford due to a superior goal difference, and qualification for the Europa League remains a very real possibility for Nuno's men.
The Portuguese addressed the media after Saturday's 2-0 win at Molineux, and chose to play down the efforts of his team, sharing what disappointed him about their display, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail:
Nuno Espirito Santo the manager
"It was well played in the first half, very well. The second half was not so good. Tough, tough game. I'm not so pleased with the second half because we must do better in situations when we have superiority – when we are in front." 'We should of scored more goals in the second half."
Next up for Wolves is trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Sunday, and they will have to be on their very best form, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of returning to Molineux with anything to show for their efforts.
