Bruno Manga - Resign urgently
Gunnarsson - gone unless we stay up
Harris - Resign on basic wages

Harry Arter - Sign as priority
Camarasa - cant see him staying
Niasse - release


Whichever way you look at it and whatever league we are in. Next season is going to be a major rebuild of our squad

If we go down it's not going to be a major rebuilding time.

We have plenty of players on sensible wages that are good in the Championship. They've proved missing at times in the Premier League. But they'll be fine next year.

Unlike many teams that get relegated we don't have earners on hundreds of thousands a week that we'll be desperate to get rid of.

There'll be the usual out of contract and a couple sold. And we'll need to sign a few - mainly midfielders. However, it's hardly a major rebuilding task.

Of last team to start. Etheridge, Peltier, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Reid, Zohore and Ralls could all stay. Only gunnars out of contract and 2 loans will most likely leave. Add to this lot NML, Murphy, Ward, Cunningham, Smithies, Bacuna and Paterson - that's a decent championship squad.

5 or 6 players probably needed. Hardly a major task! As opposed to Fulham and to an extent Huddersfield with their 30m+ players who will want out immediately...

We need EVERY player onside right now, so way too early; or has the OP given up on this season already?

It is a FACT that our last 5 games have yielded more points than any of Southampton Brighton, Bournemouth and Leicester (two of whom are right in the battle for that unwanted last spot!

It will be a case of which ones of them decide to stay. Cant force a players who's crap to leave and cant force a world beater to stay once their heads been turned

My biggest worry in the summer is Bruno Manga's contract expiring and the fact there's a high possibility we'll be without Gunnarsson, Arter, and Camarasa so we'll only have Joe Ralls unless Warnock is looking to promote Lloyd Humphries or Sion Spence and if not we'll need a whole new centre midfield. We'll also still need a RB a CB and a ST as well. Would be nice to see some youth given a chance as the under 18's have done brilliantly this season.

We also have Tomlin to come back from on loan
And Bogle and Madine

My biggest worry is that many of the players are very good championship players but will they have the heart to go again knowing they are not good enough for the PL

Tried not to get involved in this thread because i agree with Sven, but must say any team that would keep Healey and Harris over Reid are preparing for League 1....

Etheridge will still be with us. Distribution is a must for any premier league keeper unless he wants to be third string for a top 10 (he is home grown UK citizen) which i doubt he'll want.

Agree on Gunnar he can't last another season in the championship

Its impossible to tell but whatever the league the midfield needs urgent attention. If we stay up we have to try and sign Arter and Camarasa which wont come cheap and then we need a quality defensive midfield to replace Gunnersson who I wouldn't resign.

If we went down again I wouldn't resign Gunnerson but other than Ralls who I think is a very good championship player we don't have many options and needs depth.
